The TTT2 General Discussion thread

^Second that.

If your serious about tekken, there is nothing better than a K-Stick.

Plus if you have monstrous hands, bat feels 10x better.

 LOL, I definitely rate this:

truth/10.

So incredibly true.

You’re trying to use waaaaay too many characters, I think.

I understand you may like many different characters as there’s something for almost everyone to like character-wise but you may want to stick to a select few so you won’t overwhelm yourself. I mean, it doesn’t hurt to use a character you may struggle fighting against just to learn how they work for about a week or two. But aside from that, try to focus on just a couple (like 4-5 max) and sharpen your game.

I have somewhat of a character crisis myself, but whenever I play some characters just ‘click’ more to me than others.

This just makes me wish that all character customisation parts were universal even more…

Raven is straight beast in the right hands. I think a lot of ppl simply still do not know his tricks and I use that to my advantage.

Feng/Raven team synergy is one of the best in this game. They rape big time. Its all about your commitment.

I gave up on Hwaorang. I did decently with him but felt like I was hitting a wall. I couldn’t wrap my head around the style so felt like I wasn’t doing him justice.

I’m still stickin’ with him. My biggest thing is realizing on the fly which stance I’m in before I press a button to find out. When I get that down, tighten up most of my strings from random hits with him, I’ll be happy.

By the way, what’s his best close range punish? I’ve been trying to do somethin’ with 1,1 because of its speed, but I always overestimate its range just a smidge and get punished on whiff with it. Maybe I should work more with f1+2 more?

Ki-Charge~TA! glitch?

something I found randomly:

Kodee from TZ also confirms, that it works with Jin’s b+1+2…

I was about to bow out and make my main team Miguel/Bryan but I’m working on getting down my electrics for Jin and Kazuya. I’m getting better but I got a long way to go. Pretty sweet that Jin’s hits MID whereas Kazuya’s hits high. Too bad Jin cannot hit as hard.shrug

Holy shit, Tekken Ball is back. DAMN YOU Nintendo, I so want this on the PS3/360 versions. Aarararghh

Making up combos is tougher than I thought, but it does feel good to find crossup setups.

Jin’s hits high too, and gives a juggle but just on CH. His cd+1 is a standard mid launcher that’s jab punishable.

10f - jabs
11f - 4,3
15f - d/f+2 (launcher)
17f - b+3 (launcher)

You can always opt to enter flamingo from his jabs or 4,3 and start pressuring them right after punishing an unsafe move. If you happen to block a big sweep-like move when using Hwo, you’re gonna have to crouch cancel and then do b+3 because his WS moves are pretty ass compared to everyone else.

Hm. Everything here is going pretty stable…
However, I really need to get my hands on Michelle - I have a guide on her that is simply waiting to be updated but I can not touch her until DLC comes out. I just know Michelle is going to be one of my primary characters. However, I did run into one Michelle player who was pretty decent and it thrilled me to no end. Also recently ran into an Angel player who was also pretty decent.

I did try to dress my characters up for Halloween, with Anna and Devil Jin being the primary targets for this little celebration. I intend to record the matches soon to highlighting their game play little by little - Anna is dressed up as a hot witch! Lee is dressed up as a knight in red and black armor! Miharu is dressed like traditional magician, while Xiaoyu is going with high class demon aspect. Asuka is dressed like an Angel… I do like the customization options here - Of course it is not quite as good as the T6’s but it is enough for players to get away with a few cool designs and fight with them. I find that funny.
Some of the customization options are outright trollish however - for example… Kazuya’s hammerhead - you can end the match by inputting the ff+1+2 notation for his throw and he will… “hammer” his opponent deep into the ground! Jin’s Evil Eye’s… you can finish the match with df+2+3 - it will cause Jin to replicate his beat down on Heihachi from Blood Vengeance… Kind of weird sense Harada wrote off Blood Vengeance as non-canonical (I just thought Jin used a variation of Median Line Destruction and then Demon Paw to knock Heihachi away). Then there is Anna’s mask - if you input df, df, 1 Anna grabs the opponent and does… something… like a headlock or something… then she causes the opponent to dance around like a moron while Anna LOL’s. Then you have clocks, pizza’s, and base ball gloves… the list of weird just goes on and on…

Struggling a bit learning Miharu, new to tekken so maybe starting with her isn’t the best idea.

Maybe, maybe not. If you like the character, wouldn’t it be important to just play that character, even if the learning curve is painful.

This is a very stupid question but someone please help. I just got tag and I can’t seem to do the tag throw. I thought it was normal throw and tag button at same time?

It’s 2+4+5.

Thanks, so 1+3+5 doesnt work?

I have another question if someone can answer, during a combo, if I do a bound move and tag at same time, the othercharacter will come in and do a move that relaunch the op up in the air again, does that mean I can perform a normal combo from that?
