Well the damage u can get from TA is pretty nice but I wouldnt do it all the time.
You give ur opponent rage and second that red life can come in handy sometimes if u have a little bit of red life sure why not but losing a huge chunk is not worth it IMO unless u kno ur gonna kill from that TA
If we’re lucky, and given the demand, we’ll probably get it as a DLC mode. As for why it wasn’t included in the original release, it may have been done as something a time exclusive for the WiiU.
Also, Capt. Falcon costume FTW. Just need to see Capt. Paul, Zero Suit Nina, and Armor Bowser. And did anyone feel there was a joke by showing Leo in the Sheik costume?
Well , mid match my B button on my brawl stick was crapping out (stock). And I couldnt pull shit off with Kazuya. time to finally invest some money and mod my stick. Wish me luck this is my first time modding one. D:
Hwoarang JFSR (Just Frame Skyrocket) - Fast, safe mid launcher with good range that leads to 100+ damage combos.
Also, lol @ the whole clones thing and ‘armor king and king are similar’. First off, the two characters are about as similar as Ryu and Ken in SF4. They have similar appearances and some relatable playstyle mechanics but overall play way different.
Why does anyone care and complain about the clone characters? If they were paid then sure, but they’re free tributes to a lot of characters that have shown up at one point or another. Only ones off the top of my head that haven’t appeared in a Tekken before are Sebastian and Slim Bob… Yeah sebastian was kind of out of left field, but i’m sure they made slim bob cause of the joke being Bob moves ridiculously fast for such a fat dude. I remember a lot of people saying “i’d play bob if he wasn’t such a fat disgrace.”
And to the idea that it makes the game more difficult… as you said, they’re clone characters so just play them like you would play against Xiaoyu, Eddy, Lili, etc…
So at what point was my card charged when my game was updated? If you want to argue that I paid for the DLC when I paid for the game you are discounting the precedent set by a certain rival developer that charged for extra characters in a game provided at same initial retail cost as TTT2. Whether or not the content was simply disc locked, Namco’s strategy is still genius. They effectively provided something for nothing and made their supporters feel appreciated at likely no additional cost to themselves. They found a way to one up Capcom without really doing anything. Cheers to them.
Side note Walraven: Don’t forget when making a point that mixing a little tact with your candor can positively affect how your message is received. I’m not trying to get bogged down in an argument here I just felt that needed to be said.
To be fair on the DLC thing, it does just seem to be a cheap way of looking like making extra free content whilst actually just setting something that would’ve been unlocked through play last game to unlock through timed release.
If certain other companies weren’t being such absolute tossers with on disk paid DLC recently it probably would’ve caused more of a fuss, but because of the above it seems like a much better deal than just saying “Oh you have these features but can’t use them until our deal with shops x, y and z say you can”.
I’ll take it as a compromise better than paid on disk dlc bs any day and a step in the right direction away from that (and props to Harada for making sure Namco didn’t go down that route like they have been known to do before), but the old way of simply having everything in your game day one before all the dlc toss kicked in is still the best.
I’m not gonna criticize Namco for doing what the have to in order to get pre-orders, but I do think those exclusive characters should be banned from tournaments until everyone gets access to them.
