The truth about Denjin Hadoken

I know why your “test” didn’t work

I tested d+FP->level 3 Denjin in training mode too. The reason yours didn’t work is because you charged it too long. Trust me it works. Since the computer parries the d+FP it will cause you to have to charge a fast level 2 to actually get a level 3 to come out when the d+FP is not parried. See what I’m saying? That darned parry crap messes up the timing on almost every sequence you could possibly think of. It’s stupid IMO. Like I said before too, you don’t have to see the energy spark get bigger for it to be charged to the next level. Which I’m sure you know that but just to make sure you’re doing it “fast as quick”. Continue to try it until you see Ryu really do it as fast as possible when the FP hits or is blocked. Then you will see that everything I said was true. As for combos that don’t work. Which ones? I know my earlier crap is crap is crap is crap but as for the stuff in the post before this one. It’s all true, the Ryu vs. Remy mess and all that Twelve mess too.

i’ll try it again but to me there seems to be no lag. but also test out other hit counters like dps, chun lis super, kens super, akuma warp , other random hits that could fuck up the trap. but yah like i said i’ll try it with a human opponent. one thing i did notice though is it really doesnt matter if it hits or is blocked you get about the same amount of stun ok well i’ll try tonight later peace.

btw, the “combo” i was talking about was d+mk, ex kick

Yeah, I know to try supers, Akuma warp, etc. I already know you can blue parry the level 3. I’ve never been worried about getting a level 3 on someone anyway. I’ve had enough success using level 2. I don’t understand why everyone thinks that putting enough stun on their meter to bust out a level 2 is hard. Man, ya’ll must play ultra defensive. It only takes a combo or some good poking/throwing and they should have enough on their stun meter. After that, it isn’t hard to make them block a move which almost ensures you a level 2. I look at Denjin this way-it’s a super that I can raise the enemy’s stun meter by 50% at will, even if they block. That’s powerful IMO. It is also what puts it over other supers that do alot of stun like Urien’s super art II, Necro’s super art III, and Alex’s super art III. Nuff said, later…

OMFG! Why are you treating everyone like gamefaq noobs. No shit standing mk will combo into (ex)hcf+K. Duh.

The best way to use Denjin is to back throw your opponent into the corner then cancel a fb into denjin. It doesn’t get anymore complicated then that. Stop over analysing.

And “The Truth about Denjin” is that it is worst than the other two supers. End of story.

It may be true that ya’ll are not gamefaq noobs, but it is obvious that you are a gameplay noob Alphastorm. Back throw, fireball, Denjin is THE worst thing you could possibly do. OMFG is that sorry. I’m not over analyzing it either. I’m just breaking the ice. How can you sit their with a straight face and say Denjin is worse than Shinkuu Hadoken and ShinShoryuken? That’s ludicrous. Denjin is great. I hope you get alot of fun by never playing with “technical” supers like Aegis Reflector, Yagyou Dama, Tengu Stone, and Denjin Hadoken b/c it’s also obvious that you can’t handle the mental power it takes to play with more complicated supers. If you don’t respect the power of the Denjin–Get Lost!!!

Stop talking shit. You just learn two days ago that denjin could be charged. Now stfu.

I learn two days ago that Denjin can be charged F-A-S-T-E-R. Not just charged genious. And that’s b/c neither me nor anybody I’ve ever seen has played with Denjin ok. I don’t make it a habit of talking smack unless someone else starts it. So maybe you need to check yourself. I don’t start crap, I just finish it. Now stfu and contribute something strategy related. I mean this is the “strategy” forums right. Not the inadequecy complex forums. So go away or talk about the game. Make a choice.

BTW overhead (f+MP) followed by a Denjin is alright. The overhead produces good stun and switching the timing on your Denjin can get you 1 to 2 good hits usually. Just a thought.

I’m not starting anything. I just think you are hurting the new players more than helping. Just my opinion. I’ve seen alot of people who post like you but that was 4-5 years ago in gamefaqs.

The majority of the people who read thru your god aweful post think you are full of crap. The people who didn’t respond can’t bare to read thru your trash.

i read it…

denjin is ok… but lets face it, SA1 and SA2 are better, i have seen frankie3s use it… it only helped 2 times out of 3 shots or something… and only once he stunned someone… why do u need stun if u can hit a person for 50% damage with SA2? thats why alot of makoto players change to SA1 and all

ur faq is quite alright, but lets face it, ur going for the stun so u can do 30% dmg overall for example… or hit some mofo bad that he only has a couple pixels left?

Here’s my strategy for u guys:

Don’t listen to locust’s setups. I learned long ago that simplicity is best, and SRK is theory fighter at it’s finest. Denjin sux teh cock. That’s it. It’s not hard to see that. First of all, it’s so hard to get hits in with Ryu, that they will hardly ever be stunned. Second, Dejin hits upclose will get u MAULED against Ken and Chun. They can super u even if u hit. So that…what? … JUST ABOUT kills ur entire post/s. Kthxbyestfu.

ya know – i tried to refrain from posting to point out locust’s impending newbish revelation. but apparently i can’t help it now.

to end this entire tirade about denjin, let’s have this quote.

“And that’s b/c neither me nor anybody I’ve ever seen has played with Denjin ok.”

you state that noone you know plays denjin. i think it’s great that you are trying to contribute to the ryu strats…but you shouldn’t if you don’t play with denjin.

secondly, this is a general point. most of a player’s bias/opinions comes SOLELY from the environment they are in. your denjin tactics may work for you, because face it. noone you know in your area plays with denjin. how are they going to respond? they might be ignorant of denjin’s properties and TRY to block.

in any event, the general SRK 3S community has people from all over, and they probably have more experience than you. if they argue against you, and many of them, they’re probably right.

and no, overhead to denjin has no potential in high level play. oh wait, let me rephrase. denjin has no potential in high level play. :stuck_out_tongue:

Look, I play with Denjin now and the players I play against know enough about it to try and parry, jump away, etc. to get around it. Me and the guys I play with also know that even if you hit Denjin there are free hits and supers abound. No need to tell me stuff I already know. Just cuz’ I might sound scrubby from time to time doesn’t mean anything. I got so much knowledge in my head about every character (all of which I can play well) I can’t quite remember every little detail. I move to one character and play them (usually with a certain super art) and then move to another and another. I do this with all characters on just about every fighting game I play (SFIII:3rd Strike, GGXX, KOF games, VF4:Evo). I can tell you all sorts of stuff you don’t know. Alot of useless crap yeah, but also alot of very important stuff too. I’m a geyser, I can spout for days.

Just b/c most people argue against something doesn’t mean it isn’t true. Most people are ignorant and act like they know something that they don’t. If I had a dime for everytime someone tried to disprove the truth I’d be a millionaire. If it is TRUE, it is TRUE. There is no way around it. For example, d+FP super cancel level 2 Denjin must be red parried to escape. Alex Valle, all the Japs, and no one on this planet can do anything else (assuming the d+FP was blocked). I know what can and can’t be escaped and by what. I do my homework. When I come up with something new I record it until it is perfect and try just about everything to escape it. That is how I know my stuff works.

Denjin having no place in high level play is a joke too. Then I got this guy called anti-retard who is apparently mad at me or something saying, “don’t listen to locust’s setups”. What? All ya’ll want are setups that have a level 4 or level 5 Denjin. If you don’t get that you don’t care. What a sorry state of mind. 2 is ENOUGH. God, that’s atleast 50% stun for free. What more do ya’ll want? Like I said even if they block. Again I ask, what more do ya’ll want? I can red parry my @$$ off and like I said all you have to do is switch up the timing if they start red parrying (which isn’t easy). I will admit f+MP Denjin is not “high” level play b/c most people of “high” level play will block the f+MP. If you hit it it can work though and I’m sure no one posting on these boards can do that, not even you exodus.

Open your minds. You’d be suprised what’s in there. Perhaps Denjin is better than ya’ll give credit for. I’m tired of arguing, Bye!!!

I got beat down at the last UCLA tourney by Denjin.

(of course, it was on the main cabinet. cough)

N

Well, I tried to resist.

Ever stop to think this might apply to you?

Like the c. mk, ex side kick?

Unlike you.

Yeah, this one applies to you, too.

I doubt that.

ok. since you want to keep insisting how great cr. fierce xx denjin is – let’s APPLY it to gameplay.

when will you do the cr. fierce? are you going to walk up to them and cr. fierce? you gonna empty jump cr.fierce? are you going to cr. fierce on their wake-up?

i went and i did some homework too. when you cancel cr. fierce immediately into denjin, the opponent recovers from block stun in 11 frames – now denjin’s lvl 2 takes at least 11 frames to charge – supposing that you do it at the earliest times and release denjin IMMEDIATELY at lvl 2, and then taking in the distance of the block stun factor, are you SURE they have to red parry the denjin? since i havent TESTED, i’ll assume your saying is true. but what if you’re a little slower and cancel cr. fierce 1 frae afterwards, and charge lvl 2 a little slower, or release it slower? they no longer need to red parry. furthermore, if you’re slow enough by 4 frames, they can probably jump out.

now, back to the setup. did you know that crouching fierce can be parried high AND low? meaning if they wanted to parry, it’s almost a guaranteed parry. then what? you’re just going to look dumb by wasting a super while they’re counter-attacking.

just because something can work, doesn’t mean it’ll be practical in play. all my genei jins work in training mode, but that doesn’t mean i’ll be able to pull all of them off in tournament.

Ok I’m going to post this once more since maybe ppl didn’t see it the first time.

If you don’t STUN with Denjin, Ken AND Chun (2 of the MOST USED TOP TIER CHARACTERS IN THE GAME) CAN SUPER YOU…

EVEN

IF

YOU

HIT

THEM.

(Obviously depends on distance, but since he keeps spamming his c. fierce setups, what I just said basically shuts down any hopes of effectively landing a close up Denjin and not eating free damage for the trouble from basically 90% of serious tournament players since all they use is Chun and Ken)

Oh yeah, and if u bother to respond with how they were partially stunned before and how the Denjin will stun them, plz post how Ryu will get ANY stun in other than throw, an overhead, or a c. foward (none of these stun almost at all). How are you going to land a Side Kick to build up that stun? Uppercut? Anything seriously stunning?

The reason SAI/II Ryu are so much better is because they can actually use those c. shorts which connect, or that UOH or >+strong to link the super, or a connected >+fierce to connect a ShinSho. These supers actually make use of the REALISTIC connected hits Ryu will hopefully land. Denjin will NOT work on good ppl who know how to fight it. Yeah, hell, that shit may even work on me first few times cause I dont really play Denjin users that much. But I sure as hell am not scared of it as much as I am of Alex’s SGH.

I’m not trying to sing the praises of d+FP level 2 Denjin. I just use it as an example. Ya’ll trippin’. Wanna know why I got two beepers. I couldn’t tell ya’ll one for dem hoes and a one for dem tweekers. Yo, Yo, check it. Me and my homeboys got mad skillllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllz. You need to back up before a Denjin comes straight your way. Yeah, right through the phone line. Zapp! Whatcha gonna do then? Huh? Huh? Huh? What would you have over your head? Little grim reapers or maybe some birds or stars. Yeah some stars, just like a constellation. How beautiful they can be. Nature is the key and key is the nature. Unlock it now. Quick, before that Denjin catches up with you. Man, did I eat a lot of soup today. What the heck am I talkin’ about? I didn’t eat any soup today b/c the alphabets in it spelled Denjin. That’s right capital D, Lower case enjin. Look what ya’ll done done. Ya’ll done sent me over the edge. I’m gonna sue and guess what my lawyers got? A Denjin Hadoken. Yeah, a big fat one with your name all over it. What the heck am I talkin’ about? Oh no, that’s my name on it notchyalls. Oh gosh, it backfired!!! Zapp, Zapp, Zappa. What, this ain’t GGXX. Zappa, Zappa, Zappa. Kappa, Kappa, Kappa. What, this ain’t no frat house. Oh, I know it’s Star Gladiator. That would explain the “stars” above your head. Oh god, the Denjin told me to say all this. Maybe ya’ll guys are right. I should stay away from this super. Man is it dangerous!!! Throw me a Paxel Hadoken please. Tell me when to stop. Arggganine, dies on que. T-H-E E-N-D or T-H-E-N-D. Whichever you prefer.

noone in NC is good enough to be posting. sorry. except darick.

… anyway, on www.denjinvideo.com you can dl nice vids where Frankie3s plays a good denjin Ryu.
I also remember a Denjin Ryu in 1st Cooperation Cup beating a Ken…
so I wouldn’t say it’s useless at high level. It’s just harder to capitalize on than the other supers, but it can be quite interesting. imho.

thank you for knowing nothing and telling me nothing about denjin :o

oh u can see videos of me on denjinvideo.com too and even the video of me losing will show u more about denjin then this guy has said in his 23897481341 posts k thnx
