Fucking told. And for all the people on SRK who claim to like and play vsav the GGPO queue is always surprisingly empty. I’m starting to think that people just pretend to play it.
(also vsav is one of my favourite games, but fair on matchups it ain’t; if you don’t notice the matchups you probably aren’t playing at a very high level.)
How can you even make this thread and claim a game that you’ve had less then a day with balanced? If the next thread you plan to make starts with either “What do you think…” or “I think…” you should refrain from pressing the Post Reply button.
A lot of people might not be willing to admit it, but SSF4 is actually deserving of a mention here. We can’t say for sure since it’s still young compared to most others; however, from what we know it compares very favourably to most other fighters in this aspect.
I’d agree with Garou and KOF02um. Garou is just solid all around, and as Tataki mentioned, the team format makes the already decently well-balanced KOF02 even better. Too bad KOF13 is so dumb that even the team mechanic can’t save it. MVC3 may yet shape up to be really balanced due to everybody being good + team mechanics too, but it’s still way too early in the game’s life to decide on that.
I’m not quite sure why you would bring up ST in a thread about good balance. The game is fun and deep and does a lot of things right, but balance is hardly one of them. On the other hand, I’ve heard HF is really excellent for balance, but I don’t know enough about it to judge.
And lol @ mentioning 3S. If your name isn’t Kuroda, good luck winning a tournament with anybody but the top 3.
Trolling? “Parrying gives the tools required to win to the lower tier characters”? So parrying somehow helps low-tiers more than high-tiers…? If you are good at parrying with Twelve, you can be just as good at parrying with Chun. Parrying doesn’t stop Yun and Chun from having 7-3 and 8-2 matchups against more than half the cast.
Don’t get me wrong, I like 3S, and it’s a fun game to play and to watch. But saying its overall balance is in the top 5 of all competitive fighting games is just wrong.
just out of curiosity: has Arcana Hearts 3 been out long enough to have a feel for the balance? (or an accepted tier list?) please no one take offense, I am only asking because I have little knowledge of the game.
again, if you are voting “not balanced” on a title, you have to provide SOME sort of explanation, otherwise the vote won’t be counted! thanks!
also, if the “not balanced” explanation includes a generally accepted (by the games community) matchup chart, then the game can be disqualified from the running if it has multiple 8-2 matchups.
edit: oh and thanks colourful euphamism for explaining re Arcana Hearts 3, i didnt realize it had been in arcades so long already.
