man i really wish i could make it to NEC iâve been itching to play againts Zar and Arturo for the longest time
omg just got this game on emulator IT IS SO FREAKIN AWESOME raph is so imba
There are few games that I want more to have some sort of re-release than TF.
Anybody up for some games? Iâm free all day.
so there wasnât a TF tourney at NEC? If there was, Results?
BTW weâve started playing the Japanese version of TF since it seems a bit more balanced. Other than the obvious changes does anybody else know all the differences in each version?
Isnât Aska worse in the JPN version? Other than that I know of no differences from the US version.
Her upper thighs stay warmer in the North American version.

(imo she needed it because that version was also released in Canada)
well iâve been doing a bit of playing at it seems that thereâs only a few differnces.
-There doesât seem to be CPS1 chains, iâve tried for the life of me and they jsut donât work
-The game runs a bit slower overall even in high speed 1
-Askaâs and Armaggonâs DPâs have a bit more recovery
-Raphaelâs Scissors kick doesnât stun as easily
-Wingnutâs air mobility seems a bit faster.
-Aska now has a thong and boobs
An overall improvement if you ask me, if anybody knows any changes let me know
âŚI hope you didnât just try only CDomeâs cr.LK to HK cps chain because CPS1 chains do in fact still exist in the JP versionâŚItâs just that CDomeâs cr.LK to cr.HK chain does not combo (this kinda hurts CDome not having the sweep chain). WNut and CDome punch CPS chains still work however and still combo. All of the other chains with the rest of the cast still works the same in that they will not combo but create seamless guard strings.
dunno, felt the same to me. Even Sabin didnât notice any difference - though we havenât touched JP version in a while.
Really? Aska felt as if she had improved recovery on dpâs. As for Arm having âa bit more recoveryââŚthat move never had recovery to begin with LOL (so bullshit). I may have to sit down and confirm the shark upper recovery for JP. It would be nice to be able to punish that move on landing.
I like US/EU versions over JP and the âbalanceâ between characters seems a bit better imo.
US ver:
-CDome has sweeping chain. This (low) confirm helps out a lot esp. in match ups vs turtles where he needs it.
-Aska DP hits twice in JP version and does absurd damage BUTâŚyou have to be point blank to land both hit and score the down. JP Aska is left vulnerable if the end of the dp (second hit) doesnât land. (It kinda reminds me of SSF2 Ken Fierce DP). Then you have the US ver DP ,one-hit only and less damage, scores down regardless of distance. I think the down is more important for her considering aska DP >>>> * and she gets to set up shenanigans like meaty/fake meaty slide to throw/dp and hip-check crossups
JP ver:
-Supposedly Armaggon canât store charge during his HP throw (headbutts). This would be good if itâs true as he wouldnât be able to setup unblockable upper (vs turtles) and fireball traps on landing any more. This change alone wouldnât be enough to sway me over to JP version though cus Arm isnât that serious anyway. *Someone confirm please.
Random stuff we found during NEC casual session:
-Arm v CDome
d, ub+LP+LK command vs wake-up shark upper
Stand at max EPD grab distance and perform the command against rising armaggon. If arm executes any shark upper it will lose to CDome ub+LP (default button pressed for out of range EPD). If arm chooses to not upper he will be grabbed. So pretty much arm must perform shark upper on wake ups to avoid taking EPD damage (vs a jump LP lol).
Bonus command** d, ub+LP+LK+HP
**Another OS that results in CDome performing jump-back HP as the result of a whiffed EPD. However, this will result in a hit-trade vs shark upper. Itâs probably best to go for this if stun is imminent or for the KO hit as the jump HP does more damage than LP.
-WNut v CShredder

FREEEEEEEE
By far Shredderâs worst match up and probably the worst in the game. WNut LP+LK alone destroys shredderâs X (where X = ANYTHING). All wnut has to do is get in range of this move and mash away. Random Arua Crushers (any version) will lose out to the active frames and Arua Knees (again, any version) will lose on start up. Shredder has no normals fast enough to out-poke after being hit or guarding and his âbestâ options are to stay put or jump back in the corner all day (he often gets hit by Glide while ascending though lol). 8-2 matchup in Wnut favor imo. Thanks to RiotingSoul for helping me find this in our online casual session. I got to confirm its effectiveness vs other shredders at NECX
Shoutout to Jeron and Zaelar. Thanks for contributing to the TF evolution data at NECX.
=(
Sorry, dude. Sabin didnât show so only two of the trinity was present. I managed to get in a few games with JeRon and like 3hrs of casuals vs. Zaelar lol. Watch out for new recruit, Rithli. Iâm training up his Don so I can show fools to stop sleeping on him.
random casuals
chibi, rayza, lbs, zar
canât remember who is who but whatever - enjoy
bounus: ranma 1/2 matches near the end of one of vid #2
I just started playing this shit again, TOO GOOD. Anyways, Iâm looking for matches over zsnes so if anyone wants to play send me an aim to Darklink21.
What speed is played in tournaments? Hi-speed 1-2 or just normal speed?
Wow, I just discovered this game after having not played it for 15+ years.
Iâm going to learn Don (because he does machines). Iâm going to get my Shreddies ninja turtle ring out of the basement and FUCK YOU ALL UP!!!
Hey, sorry, but I am a total newie in terms of online playing.
I live in Argentina (southamerica). Is it possible to play online with you guys or I need to live in the same region to be able to do it?
