Kaillera is used for mame and other emulated programs. Itā€™s usually included with the download package.

my friend needs matchup advice vs. my wingnut, iā€™m not sure what to tell him. he uses a lot of characters, but especially shredder, chrome, aska, and raph. he implies that wingnut is like ST akuma which is obviously not the case

Well Wingnut isnā€™t god tier but he is probably tied with Shreddar for 3rd place.

And Yes. Shredder is crazy fun. I main him and Aska. Shredder has boxer like rushdown. Itā€™s cute.

Heā€™s Boxer with Clawā€™s pokes and with little to no risk on his specials when used intelligently.

He is actually pretty silly as a character.

He is my secondary after Raphael.

We were playing IRL casuals today and I noticed some stuff

Throws are treated differently than FGā€™s traditionally treat throws. This is due to throws having what is a ton of invincibility. There were a few instances where I would throw someone even when the voice sample of their special had clearly started. I have some other theories, but Iā€™ll wait for ZTB to post on this.

In other news Wingnut has a ghetto IAD. Itā€™s really got me rethinking his pressure game, and I am probably gonna experiment more with it tomorrow. His 5a is also really good as an anti air. Iā€™m not sure if he has a better aa tool he has, but this at least trades with everything.

Disappointingly crossunders are really shitty in this game. The way I would sometimes be wrong facing when I would cross under an opponent is pretty stupid. Scrubs mashing jump will always beat a crossunder, regardless of how well you set it up.

Lastly buffering normals into backdash shouldnā€™t be possible -_-

That doesnā€™t sound any different to traditional Street Fighter. I could be wrong, but itā€™s not that throws are invincible - itā€™s that throws have 0F start up, and thus you can throw moves that donā€™t have invincible start up frames. You could do this since SF2 with any non-invincible move (e.g. you could throw Bison out of any version of his Psycho Crusher on start up, even though you would clearly hear his WHOOSHING noise as heā€™s being thrown). TMNT is probably the same, since all you need to pull it off are 0F throws and throws with sufficient range to make throwing opponents out of special moves practical.

As stated thatā€™s standard ST ā€œthrows beat everything and your mom mechanicsā€.

Besides command throws and invincible moves of course.

Ok maybe a dumb ? but is the new tmnt fighter going to be anything like the old snes?
