Can you have more than one player of the same character on a team for the 5v5s? I mean I still play AE idk why people forget that lol. But yeah if you can only have 1 char I’m forfeiting my spot to woot.
GGs last night I can alraedy tell EX Kyo is a monster character if played right…idk how you guys can learn like 10 characters and know all their bnb’s, corner combos, and HD shit. I have a hard time just learning 3.

On a more serious note, HITBOX. Never touched hitbox in my life before last night. Used Kinetik’s hitbox. Did true electrics without even needing to do the whole motion. Case closed.
Also, do not SLEEP on MAXNINJA. That guy has a good 3-d background in Soul. his Tira was nasty. Don’t count him out, Just saying.
June 2nd is MBB - Jas’ tourney. April 28th is GG tourney in conjunction with TN Dolls. MWC is June 22-24.

The sad thing is that there is SOME truth to this … playing motion characters, you will notice that MOST of them have very similar combos / playstyles … the only real difference is timing and learning their basic moves … It’s the same reason if you can play Ryu, you can half ass play Ken and AK - you just need to learn the different playstyle … but 90% of the moves (and in some cases combos) will be the same …

If you can point out what motion the hitbox allowed you to “skip” I’d appreciate it, I mean I just don’t see it. You did the exact same input. The only true example of this I can think of is a very specific case in a Marvel trijump. If you hold db and then hit the up button without releasing the two you already have pressed, you do straight from db to ub without hitting down (this is due to the hardware; d+u = u instead of neutral like in b+f). This happens practically instantly on a stick anyways. I see no pure, controller-based advantage other than what can be attributed to the ergonomics of the device itself.
Yeah I honestly wish I had chosen a different main I’m having to play catch-up on non-charge character fundamentals. It’s taken a LOT of ST Ryu and Athena play just to learn basic zoning and I’m still terrible at it (OK with Athena I would say because I can anti-air on reaction. I’m just bad at throwing fireballs in an unpredictable, perfectly spaced way which is what you need). I think my footsies are ok though.
