i want in on this 5v5 Tekken match if i can learn the game by then. But where do i even begin when learning tekken?

It was many many many threads ago the offer for you to come down and him to pay your gas when you said you had no money. Not this thread but it did happen and it was a while ago.
Richard has car situations and work obligations just like everyone else does. It is no “joke” when he is running the arcade. I have 2 people that work there and priorities take place, money or go to tournaments. I don’t see where that plays into this, he’s been to Huntsville 2-3 times and even went to a tournament there not counting Fight Night, so he HAS ventured outside of Memphis (and no, I was not there for Huntsville tourney) and you are saying he doesn’t travel?
So to reiterate, Richard has traveled outside of Nashville to tourneys, to Fight Nights, to Alabama for tourneys, but you have not left Memphis.
If you have to bring up stuff at least know a little bit more about the guy…
Oh, and the PDP thing, he paid his own way to go, I didn’t pay for him to go there. HE went, got paid to work the event, and it’s Vegas, why would he say no to that? Unfortunately all of this is besides the point. This is between you guys but you’re acting like you’re completely innocent here of the situation.
I mean, it’s whatever, you won’t back down from any conflict like always so it’s going to be the same thing over and over so you guys have your little battle in June and keep trying to make up stuff about how you know XXX doesn’t go to tourneys or applicable work situations…everyone in both cities here knows the truth as we’ve known for years…should be fun seeing you guys play in June though. I wish you guys would play Marvel and AE, that should be interesting =)

Something I really like about our scene here is how we can be fiercely competitive when it comes to city vs city, but rep each other to the fullest in the end. This camaraderie most of us share is something I always explain to people who just don’t understand when I tell them that, every once in a blue moon, I like to travel to Nashville, around Memphis, and middle-of-nowhere Mississippi/Arkansas for tournaments.
I know it’s been mentioned, but I think it’s so interesting how all of us come together for our mutual enjoyment of these fighting games we play. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you guys.
…just some thoughts while I sit here working on some medical charts at work.
I do remember Richard offering to pay your gas. The stipulations and matches have been set. All there is left to do is practice so you can be ready. Stop starting trouble, homie.
PJan: Sans a few players the Tennessee scene is a lot more dignified than most places…It’s infinitely more mature than the Florida scene and many other places without getting specific but a lot of that just has to do with who they hang out with (fellow players) and how they conduct themselves. They meaning players from other scenes. For every Marn/Triforce stream person, you have 100 followers that want to be/act like them and that’s the downfall of the scene. It’s a good think 95% of the players in Tennessee can see through that crap and conduct themselves well with our fellow cities and players…

5v5 Stuff:
-KOF: Whatever you guys want to do for this I’m down. Round Robins are typically the most fair especially for the state v state but if we end up doing that in Nashville then PLEASE give me as much notice as possible. I dont always have the time to travel but I will want to be there if I can since KOF is fucking awesome. For the city v city I think we know who the better players are right now in Mem, we could try to do a RR but it will be hard to get all the right people in the right place for this since not everyone makes fight nights and others cant make the weekend gatherings but I will do whatever you guys want. I know at best my spot is 4th at the moment though I know Herb has leveled up like crazy so
-SF AE: If people are interested in doing this I am down I guess. I cant be on the Tek team, which I get but I love team stuff anyway and would be fine trying out for AE if woot will give me Bison practice. We know Anthony will be gone so overall that would leave (me, woot, squab, orel, dax, bishop, majin, abe) plus a few others I might be forgetting. We should do a try out if everyone is down for this. If I got on the team I would play/practice at fight night for sure. I say you have to announce the teams and chars though before hand.
I also like the idea of 3v3 teams in KOF and what not too. I think that shit is a ton of fun but I understand the issues with having limited time on the June 2nd tourney. Especially if all this extra stuff is supposed to be recorded. I saw Josh nominated my house for the after tourney stuff, thanks for that BTW but I might not be able to cover till I get more details.
Jas: How many confirmed set ups do you have so far for the event? I think this is gonna play a big role in if/how all this stuff works out. We may need to run games concurrently to make sure we have time. We all know KOF takes forever in grand finals usually and we could have the converter issue we had at the last event.
That’s the ONLY thing I play at home (other than ME) and whenever work allows me to attend fight night … which lately fuckin’ sucks, ready for this damn project to be over. So there’s three …
Considering I’ll be in the house by that time - there’s a huge possibility (like 95%) that I’ll be able to accommodate the after tourney shit … including people crashing if needed … I’ll keep you guys updated.
