Cody pretty much had to play by himself when Ian and Charlie quit, unless he came here or traveled. Which made his move to Florida not all that difficult.

Arson says he likes Jin but not SF x T. That just screams that he should play Tekken. That’s 2 people right there, and more than some guys have who get the only experience they have from online or traveling to tournaments. You guys did it for XIII before everyone had it on console. Chris Brown said that he wants to get on it for real now and maybe he will play it a bit since he isn’t focusing so much on AE (I think). If at least 3 of you play regularly then it might inspire collective interest. Like that shit Cody was trying to do that nothing came of except for that one day.

Just play it with Sev tomorrow though. Jin doesn’t throw orbs or have kicks that make you spin for eternity, but it might attract some peeps to give it a try. Which is more than it had sitting in that arcade for the past two or 3 years.

Feels like when Tekken came out it dropped off here for no good reason. Gotta talk to Arson but I’d be willing to play with people around here but don’t really wanna just see it not get played again.

Haha it did. And MidTN was one of the only spots in the U.S. that had 6.0 and BR cabs. Couple this with the fact that Tekken has always done well, in arcades especially, and it’s a mystery as to what happened there. But you can prob get used to it not being touched now though bro because even the Tekken players aren’t playing it much. With FR possibly being the last “major” tournament for it (and dudes were still focused on other shit), and it not getting picked back up by MLG, it’s pretty much dead competitively. I know I said it was dead before but it really is now.

Keep in mind though that I was just talking about competitive Tekken 6. It’s still getting played casually in spots just because it’s Tekken. And PowerUp in Cinci might really be the last decent tournament for it if heads show. But you will have Tekken players going to random big tourneys and events just because TTT2 is likely to be there. Like MLG.

Plus, with TTT2 console on the way and the arcade version being accessible to us at a good number of events, it’s a good a time as any for people to actually go ahead and play Tekken 6. It’s the same game except for the additions of tag system and the usual character changes, that really don’t change how the characters are played overall individually. Just more tools, buffs, nerfs, etc.

Severin: We have 2 setups we are going to be using for tournaments because I don’t expect a TON of players, and 3 other setups besides those with possibly a 4th (only say possibly because it depends on how many people we have.

Basically 2 setups at all times will be used for tournaments and 3 for casuals…we have Tekken 6 for PS3 if anyone wants to play that, SC5, UMVC3 for 360, etc…

Next week’s tournament is in another location (milln’s tournament) so they usually have a LOT more setups but we will have 5-6 over there…wouldn’t be any room for any others right now…we are changing the format of the arcade over slightly to be more console oriented After April 30 so I am plan on putting more setups permanently…it’s going to be pretty cool after April 30

Aight cool, I will just bring my ps3 and game and what not so all we need to use is one of the tvs for the tek. Chris brown wanted to play and im always down for Tek. Thanks man
