On that note, I hope this game comes out right away in Japan for PS3, but comes out I dunno a year later or longer in the US for PS3 so arcade operators (the remaining ones) don’t bitch to Namco again.
The PS3 one would get patched the same as the arcade one so it’s all good, and the PS3 is region free. ; )
I can only imagine the cries of the American arcades were like a whimper compared to the much larger Japanese arcade industry.

Yep, that’s a valid point. And the Japanese arcades have so much more to offer than the current crop of home versions (DR and VF5).

Nah, the remaining arcades left in North America were extremely vocal about the quick Tekken 5.0 port. Gave Namco Coin-op a headache iirc.
And don’t forget that the domestic port of 5.0 came out like 3 months before the import version.
Japan and Korea, well no one really cared there for console since the scene was mainly arcade regardless of console.

Law was very good in every version of 5…dunno about any other Tekkens considering I started with 5. And Anna is very good in DR.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they are top or near top in 6.
Migel special is ridiculous the only move i know that can match that is jack but jack one takes more time to charge

It was a Joke, and I have used Law since Tekken 1…He’s ok in all of 'em, and thats all I’m gonna say about that, because I don’t really care about tiers and all that, Player skill is more important, in my eyes, anyways.
The point is to kill them completely before they get the damage increase. If they have 5 percent left they get enraged. Kill them with a 6 percent attack. Simple. That way you have to beat them with a whammy as opposed to poking your opponent to death.
IMO, the bounce system hasnt changed the game. Just made it more annoying. If you are juggled it is still guaranteed damage. Theres nothing you can do. It doesnt change tekken because the name of the game is still DONT GET LAUNCHED!
Music in that stage is hella dope too. Kinda different from typical Tekken music. Even though I’m a big fan of Tekken’s music in general.
Only good thing about the change of Rage to 5% is that it’s kinda rare to have 5% and most pokes should kill you. You really gotta take more risks to kill your opponent when they are in the lead.
Yeah, and bound doesn’t change shit about Tekken. All the things we hate the most is still there. Now you get guaranteed damage, and now it’s seems characters get you to a wall easier…do they really need to add shit like that? And then you get wall damage and the oki…
That track is awesome. You cant really hear tekkens music over all the noise in an arcade, but the chants in that level (Final Stage) can be heard in the entire arcade.
A new patch just came out about 4-5 days ago and ALOT of things have changed. Certain characters have had their moves toned down in misc. ways. Also, we here in Japan have something new called a “trial match”. I don’t know what you have to do to get a trial match or what happens when you get and win one but it does add a new spin on things. Also, there has been a few sightings of a little “objective complete” icon popping up after someone wins a game. I also have no idea what causes this and what you obtain from it. Alot of new customizations and colours have been released today as well. It seems that every Wednesday a batch a stuff is released i.e. last week was colors in general and this week it’s more items and the such. Don’t know how its gonna work for you guys in the USA cuz I know ya’ll don’t run off of tekken-net. All this shit might just be time released for your gaming pleasure.

The ranks go from:
Red bars - beginner and kyus
Silver bars - 1st dan - 3rd dan
Blue bar w/ barbwire lining - 4th dan, shihan, kaiden, etc.
Green ranks - lone wolf, some kind of tiger’s mouth roaring, dragon
Orange ranks - bunch of misc. graphics dipecting different “fist” images

RED RANKS - the first red rank is a single kanji character I believe and a Miguel player from mainland has it. Stridajin and myself filmed a few videos of him in action and he should be putting up the vids within a few days time. I’ll make sure to post links when its up…
I know we won’t get Tekken-Net but I hear updates are gonna be through cell technology so it will be possible for everyone to upgrade when something new is released.
