There’ll probably be some bullshit and Namco will say that Dragunov & Lili are the other 2 new characters (2 from DR, 2 for 6). Of course I’d hope for alot more new characters but as long as they don’t all follow the Tidus syndrome.

I don’t know where they could have gone after Dark Resurrection, I think this answers it. Better graphics, more refined, more customisations, more characters. Looking forward to playing this, but I’m not deadly excited or anything.
Reminds me of Ridge Racer 6 -> 7. Just incremental step ups because they don’t know how else to improve it. Granted it looks like a pretty early build, so maybe they’re holding something big out on us, though I doubt it.
Yeah, once a series (any genre) gets up to that many sequels/revisions, the improvement are usually standard and not surprising.
Hey, if they fix up Tekken6’s game engine so it takes more effort to pickup and learn then T5’s and if they remove of fix the crush system, then I will become one happy camper for Tekken6.

I think it comes down to the fact that they’ve just found a gameplay system that works and hardcore fans aren’t really ready for a ton of change. They tried doing the uneven surfaces in T4 and look what that got us…a sequel that plays more like a revamped Tekken Tag without the tagging. To me the 2 new characters look interesting but yeah…not quite the wow factor that T5 had with the first new 3. Bringing an Aikido Jujutsu character back was hella cool for me cuz I loved Jun.
The Jack-5 armor seems to be meant to display the depth of the customization system in T6.

Awesome, this definitely looks way better than the trailer we saw at last year’s E3. I sure hope they mean a 2007 release date for the PS3 and not only the arcade. My money is on a February 2008 release date for the PS3 version.

I really meant on the gameplay/in-game side of things, I’d just expect them to show something new for Jin since he’s the poster boy and all, not just some old CG we’ve seen already.

They better bring Kaz back as he is the main badasses of all badasses. Gets thrown off a cliff, comes back for revenge against his own family, bangs Jun, has a bastard son, has come back from the dead like 5 times, and he’s like 80 years old by now. I always thought Tekkens story/endings/characters were great up until T3, then things started getting a bit to flakey.
