Steve fox has the “peek a boo” stance. Sweet.
Now all they have to do is give him the customizations to make him look like Ippo.

^^^ Yeah you already know. Or they can have him look like Mashiba.
Seeing as Jin’s Mission was to erase the EEEVVVVVVIIIILLLLL in T5, I doubt that’s the case. I think the devil gene may have majority control now. It’s the only way it will make since.
But it would be tight IMO if Jin was like “fuck it, the zaibatsu is mine, and I’ma blow shit up cuz ya’ll suck.”
New dude looks gay.
And if Bryan doesn’t have MAD recovery on that gun, then he’s gonna be straight up broke.
In the first trailer, it looked like you could hit Bryan with a wakeup attack before he could put away his gun.
Aside from the hideous colors he was all good 'til I saw his lower half. I kinda get the feeling that Kaz would make a shit-tastic ninja. I’m interested in:
A- His “very short” hair from DR
B- Shoulder plates " "
C-That shirt he had in the video.
Oh yeah; stupid bling/shades is a must.
EDIT: Goddammit I want Kunimitsu!
Apparently there is one in Chicago and Tempe(Sabre, confirmation?) and we might get one here in Seattle.
Am I the only one who thinks this game looks like something last-gen? It’s not the bloom effect either(didn’t even know that was being used).
It does look a tad rusty but I’m confident it’ll look great when it’s finally released.
Yeah I’m thinking these are just shitty teaser shots and when it’s finally release it’ll be like BAM!, here’s the real screen shots.
Well, at least Namco’s cgi group is getting better at doing realistic biceps and triceps…the arm muscles in the previous games were like “wtf? it’s like everybody had their shit torn/blown and healed wrong”.
Ok, i’m by no means a Tekken player…I only used to play it at the arcade when I got bored and picked Law and I would just press the kick buttons and spam his flip kicks…rofl.
But anyways…I watched the preview video and it doesn’t look like much of an upgrade. I think it’s nice, but I was expecting something more spectacular, especially since it’s on the PS3. And also, I don’t know if this has been mentioned (I’m sure it has - sorry, I didn’t read the thread) but damn, why are they highlighting everything? They overuse the saturation and lighting effects on this one - trying to make it brighter and shinier. Hurts a little on the eyes, imo.
^ Tekken’s like that: Inch by inch.
At this point I’m kinda thinkin’ that Tekken doesn’t have a lot of room for growth/change (Tekken 4). People love the product and are hella attached, but at the same time, get tired of the same ol’ same ol’.
The shiny shit is just some Next-Gen trend. Hopefully it’ll go away eventually but I guess Namco (and everyone else) is trying to showcase their creations to the best of their ability. You’d be surprised how well a shiny object can catch someone’s attention (or maybe you wouldn’t). If it just looks normal/gritty people might pass on a game genre they probably weren’t that interested in to begin with.
Weird. According to the changes, Steve has a peek a boo stance with 3+4. What the hell is alb gonna be now?
Albatross is BROKEN!1
if by Chicago, you mean The Sega Gameworks in Schaumburg (Streets of Woodfield)…that info was true at one point, as I played it there myself…but that Gameworks is merely a Test Location…VF5 hasn’t been there for quite some time…and I have no idea where they sent it off to.
This is also what I think happened…but dammit Namco, now I have to wait for a possible T7 to get non-Devil controlled awesome Jin back.
f+3+4?
Maybe I’m not reading it correctly, but I think the 3+4 for his Albatross is still there. f+3+4 after the Albatross puts you into peek-a-boo.
I don’t think so, the f+3+4 command was listed as being also the peek a boo trigger. In fact, it’s listed twice, which leads me to believe that the 2nd f+3+4 was meant to be b+3+4 and that’s why I’m wondering about it. o.o
