If anyone is interested (I hope some people are because this is a great game), the Melty Blood AACC netplay demo is available now
link: http://meltyblood.info/?p=609
download link about halfway down the page
Here’s a thing to help you set up the button config. Default TE layout and default Melty blood layout, excluding the menu buttons (which by the way, correct me if anyone finds out they do something else also, but they definitely do work the menus). Also E / quick action is an unnecessary button, it does various things depending on what situation you’re in, but they’re all things you can do with other buttons/button combinations anyway, so I’d suggest not using it.
Red numbers are the button number, so you can use that to help move your buttons around if you want a different layout. The numbers are the way PCs always see the buttons by default, so if you use an additional program like JoyToKey, those numbers are still the same; ie button1 is still xboxA, and so on.
Hope that all makes sense.
For info on the game (somewhat outdated since it’s based on AA, not current code, but it’s certainly close enough to get good start, go here:

rough basic/generic combo structure that works for most characters: 2abc 3c j.bc (j.bc) airthrow
similar idea to the lmhs mmhs in marvel 3. Obviously some characters stick closely to the basic pattern, some deviate a lot for good combos, and some have completely different mechanics. It’s a starting point though.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I’m by no means an expert on the game, but I do think it’s a really amazing, unfortunately overlooked game. So try it with this demo. I’ve heard good things about the netcode so far. Keep in mind though that the demo will match you with people from japan too, since it is a jap game after all
Woke up today around 7 am, jumped on umvc3, and downloaded the patch. Went into training mode picked wesker saw no difference and said to myself “You ever had a dream where you fought level 4 xfactor wesker…? and won?”
thats what marc says
Akeem you coming out tomorrow bro? I’ll be at Serenity early because I have family (non-extended family) I have to see.
BTW I’ll be bringing Guardian Heroes, a real mans game
Thanks Mike (is that correct? I totally didn’t get names lol), I’ll keep playing KoF as long as other people play it I enjoy the game a bunch.
Any advice for Andy? He’s my favorite SNK character and will probably be on every team of mine.
I’m coming out of hiding and will be at SG tomorrow around 5-ish with Brian.
I’ll bring my 360 + Evo monitor along with AE2012 & UMvC3. Looking forward to some matches.
Looking at moving to Tampa for a few years in the next few months (May-ish), just came in here to check out the scene and get to know people before I get down there. What is the scene like gathering / tournament wise? Places to play and practice with folks? Most played games out that way? Appreciate any help I could get and look forward to playing everyone.
Yes my name is mike lol as far as Andy goes cr. D should be your go to poke. You can also AA with cr. D, it’s definitely his best normal. You should always end block strings with Zan’Eiken his elbow dash, because it is safe as long as you don’t do it from point blank range. His neo max is a great way to punish EVERYTHING. It’s so damn fast, plus playing him as anchor you should have meter to do it and he can do it in the air. However the most efficient way to play Andy imo is to fireball from a distance and AA jump ins. When they are close you can cr. B cr. A f. A hcf B (BD) and at this point in the combo the opponent is airborne in a juggle state. From here you can end it with a qcb hcf B or D, dp C in corner, or you can Zan’Eiken drive cancelled into another hcf K (BD) for more damage. Andy is top tier and he has tons of combos, he is one of those characters that can do whatever you want him too.
RR today?
Yeah Ben I’ll come Through as soon as I finish washing my car etc just text me when you plan on going

recent works:Son of a Battlecry is the most recent creation from my cave. It’s button and joystick layout is the same as a TE. A friend at work commissioned me to build this for $150. It’s got sanwa joystick and buttons (except the ones on the back which are start, back, home, turbo). I used a Paewang Joytron PCB, so it’s modded for 360, ps3 and pc. If anyone else is interested in getting one of these, let me know and we can talk price, though it would probably be a little more than $150 (the buttons, joystick, and PCB alone are $100). I can paint them as well as add a custom image or marquee on the front panel. Also, if you just want to dual-mod a TE, or have one that’s busted and needs repair, send me a message or email and I’ll hook you up.
Imma be at seren tonight, anyone else?
I am probably going to SG next tuesday. Hopefully I can improve my game a bit by then. I really need help with KoFXIII. Is there anywhere I could go for a good summary of Ash’s saga before jumping into the story mode of XIII? I’ve been just playing matches with friends and a bit of arcade mode but I haven’t actually jumped into the story mode. I did get to read a summary of the NESTS saga though
I’ll be going to serenity on Sundays on a regular basis after the holidays. I’ll be happy to share what I know. Ash saga in a nutshell
KOF 2003 begins a new storyline focusing on another new lead character named Ash Crimson, a young man who seeks to possess the powers of the Three Divine Vessels for his own unknown agenda. The tournaments from KOF 2003 and KOF XI were hosted by “Those From the Past”, an organization of inhuman warriors who try to break the Orochi seal to take its powers so that they can give it to their shrouded master. While KOF XII does not have a story, KOF XIII follows another tournament hosted by Those From the Past with Ash eventually confronting their superior despite him being Ash’s ancestor.m
