GGs at the tourney. Got blown up by a Smoke, then Lamed it out for some wins with Raiden, then got blown up by the same smoke. A special GG to the awesome amounts of Lag on the TVs.
I need to put some more time into this game if I ever want to get past random wins. this two days (6 hours total a week) isn’t cutting it. Anyone free on weekend mornings?
Also, anyone off Sunday and want to road trip to Ocala with me so I can get an arcade Cabinet? Lunch is on me.

Except Sagat was also good at high level play. There isn’t even a single Protoss in GSL Code S anymore. Maybe the Immortal thing will turn things around a little, but Protoss right now is like Zerg at release.

Nick: GGs sir. Zone (moreso your patience with it) looked to be improving. Ill help in any way I can. James and Jay will bring some much needed diversity to our motley crew, too, although I think my current repertoire has a nice mix of skill sets. Liu and Jade are next on my list.

Btw, just a reminder: my house is open for 1v1s Monday thru Friday starting at 2, and anytime starting at 10am on the weekends (close up shop by 2 on Sundays cus of work). Open to play MK, AE, MvC3 (no boss tier teams: my hot scrubbery aint that tight) and soon to be BB. Helps me work on combos/execution and iron out spacing and mixups.

Yeah Chris I’ll have to get at you probably next weekend for some MK 1v1 if I’m really gonna play this game/compete at EXPCon. Don’t know how much time you’ve put into Kano but it’s easy to tell what I’m doing wrong. At my hottest I at least was confirming my f+3 low/b+2 overhead/other strings into ~35% combos. Back then the up-ball was the hot shit, too. I think they’ve toned it down since then? But back then (and so far) my mixup has been that tech trap into x-ray (which is why I said I didn’t want to use that breaker). Oh well, I’ll hit you up next weekend for that good blow-up session.

Yeaaah I wouldn’t do that, Jarv, but I’m not that ballsy. Kano has some sweet ass tools as it is now. I haven’t rocked him, but ill get with Jay and see what he’s been peeping out on the Valley streams.
When it was REAL good, I could throw out that frame trap against anyone I played (which at the time was Andy/Mike G for a second/Mike C/Crespo mostly) and could connect it a large percentage of the time. I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket with that kind of a setup that really isn’t as good anymore. But If I’m reading someone right I will definitely throw it out if I’ve put them in a similar frame trap!
Faster recovery on Knife is pretty good. I should probably start converting some random hits into the chokeout. Usually I’ve been trying to get in with f+3 b+2 (which is a low into launcher), b+2 f+1 (I think that’s the command, overhead into launcher) or 212 off a jump in punch (which is a launcher as well), then dash 212 dash 212 jump 3/4 xx kanoball. I gotta check on that combo, it might not be 100% right but whatever my old bnb was it was something like that and around 30%.
