You could but there’s no reason to do that reset there. Too much risk, just finish the combo with a Hayate/EX Oroshi and go for the oki game. Most resets in this game are gimmicky and not worth it. The range on S.MP is okay, but any range where you’re using it for a feint is close enough for S.FP instead.
Its really not a mystery when you use certain pokes, at least not to me, I understand why and when you use certain pokes the way you do, I just don’t know my way around them.
chris dont practice the feint mix ups too much because they get blown up by reversals. The only time they are remotely useful is in reset situations rather than pure mix up situations. In those places its better to use her frame traps for mix ups.
Um sim is not popular and is an annoying character to break down. No matter the reason props to him for winning. Cause at the end of the day he won, so that means everyone else was some bitch ass loser who watched him walk away with your money.
Now i get what andy is saying about bridging the gap in skill lvls and just generally improving yourself. I say this often to anyone who will listen. Its not about how well u do comparative to the community. For instance the best player in tally might not be the best in florida and the best in florida is definitely not the best in the country and one step further the best in america is not the best in the world. Imo i believe its because we focus too much on comparative play. Now there are plenty of things you can learn from playing one another but if you truly want get better you have to internally improve you own game. After you have all the information you need about the mechanics of match up, character and the game, which everyone has. Then you have to train yourself to read and notice various situation. Execute correctly and properly given the situations, react fast and acurately to the given situations, and create and exploit positive situations given the match up.
I’ll go one step further to explain what i mean does it matter if your playing chris’s rufus or justin wong if you have him down in the corner with no meter. No matter who is using the character he only has so many options in that situation. But what happens a lot in comparative play is that we learn what chris could do in that situation rather than what the character can do. So if were playing justin and he does something we didnt know was possible, we get blown up and praise justin. But its not so much justin as it is us just not perparing and bettering ourselves enough. Now with that being said just be honest with yourself do you want to become a better player or just be able to beat so and so. They are two different things one is easy and the other not so much. And like andy said a lot of us older cats know what it take we just prioritize a lot of other things in life over it.
One more thing before i get off my soap box if you guys really want to improve the community and become better as a whole then improve yourself. If you do that then everyone else will have to do the same or just get left behind.

oh and this is about marvel and the whole explain whats going on thing. I really feel this about that game compared to lets say sf4. In sf4 you have a lot more defensive options so even when your put in a bad situation most of the time your character still has options to turn the table around. But in marvel its more about avoiding the situation all together. So if you find youself in a bad situation there isnt really much you can do barring your opponent doesnt fuck up. Once your opponent forces you into a bad situation in marvel its probably not going to turn out well for you. And to take it a step further That game is very match up heavy so depending on the match you probably cant avoid the situation no matter what you do.

i also think another reason why tallahassee doesnt make big strides in the improvement area is scheduling conflicts. Hard to get any consistent practice in any game with anyone.
With that being sad man you folks should have fun with the game first and foremost and if you get better, then work hard on getting better, if not then enjoy playing semi-casually and keep it moving. Too much shit about whos better and whos real and whos gonna crush everyone. Who cares. just play, have fun, and get better.
