yeah i’ve seen the japanese version, Gekiranger along with the team-up movie, Boukenger vs. Gekiranger. But i won’t spoil it for you.
But yeah that series that Jason David Frank was in was called Power Rangers DinoThunder. It was Disney’s highest rate show since they acquired the Power Ranger series. The show was pretty damn good especially the episode where Tommy is fighting his past ranger selfs(White Tiger ranger, Red Zeo ranger, and Green ranger).
I thought SPD was the highest rate show.
IMO Dino thunder and SPD were the two best ones in the Disney era.
I Youtubed all the Disney Zord configuations (man some people have too much time on their hands and I’m grateful for it). I couldn’t believe the ubsurdity of an entire headquarters changing into a Megazord. All the kids who take the time to put together these compilation videos have saved so much time in seeing how the series has progressed over the years. You see all the cool aspects of the show like powers/zords and don’t have to bother with any of the horrid plot or dialogue.
Been hearing rumors going around that they may bring production back to North America or Canada. It would be pretty cool to see the series come back to California again. I actually visited JDF’s martial arts school in Valencia and my uncle showed me some of the places around the area where they filmed some of the early MMPR episodes.
Except SPD was good in that it HAD a decent plot (respectable for a kids show anyways).
This is true BUT i liked DinoThunder a little bit more just because i felt Mesogog was a true threatening villian unlike some of the other Disney PR bad guys. Though i was getting a little annoyed that the Red ranger in that series was getting ridiculous amounts of power ups.
So yeah new season of power rangers is coming up at the beginning of March.
Its called Power Rangers RPM which is based off of Go-Onger. The show doesn’t look too bad and from what i’m hearing one of writers they got had a hand in the 2nd half of Turbo and Power Rangers In Space.

As usual, I’ve already seen the toys on store shelves quite awhile before this new season… [media=youtube]ItcVOjePKuE&feature=related[/media] <—actual intro? (*not entirely sure since some of it looks like poorly done cut/pasted low quality pictures…like something a fan put together) The music of the intro is nice. haha, Overdrive continues to be the worst theme in the history of the show. Blonde girl looks alright…though I’m already missing all 3 sexpots from Jungle Fury. There was the cute geeky girl that worked with them in the pizza shop, Anna Hutchinson, and that woman who was a chameleon. It’s a real shame that most of the PR cuties never go on to continued fame…remember:
Monica Mays, Ms. Louwrens(that woman from Lightspeed Rescue…“Fairweather”?), Kat Manx, Tori from Ninja Storm, the girls from Mystic Force, etc. etc.
Why does Disney not realize the goldmine they’re sitting on here…? Entire seasons released in “volume” DVD/Blu-Ray packs…oh yes, I would buy them.
I still miss Ninja Storm…I have 1 dvd. I’ll have to “acquire” some more episodes online I guess, since Disney is too stupid to give it a proper dvd collection treatment. (*usually, after a season is over that shit is GONE from the stores as well…like I seriously doubt you could waltz into a video store and buy Wild Force, Ninja Storm or even anyhthing as recent as Dino Thunder now) Man, with all seasons released for purchase, I would definitely start with Ninja Storm…it was one of the best, imo. My only complaint is that it could’ve been a little more serious at least on occasion. Still, that particular cast had the best chemistry in the show’s history, imo…it was such a fun group to watch.
I fuckin’ love SPD for some reason. Lol.
I have been watching me some Shinkenger and I must say, I enjoy it much much more than Go-Onger. I felt like I wasn’t exactly in the target demographic for Go-Onger. Plus, Go-on Red was too…soft? He was too nice and pretty, and when he got intense and “fired up”, it felt fake. The whole thing felt fake, and I only got around episode 10.
Ive been sitting on the fence for Magiranger for a while, I have only seen a handful of episodes on and off. I really want to watch it but something keeps holding me back.

So apparently Disney is remastering MMPR and will air it early next year. On top of that we’re also getting the toys re-issued again. Makes me happy cause i can finally cop a Dragon Dagger.
Hopefully this will lead to an eventual DVD release FINALLY.
I stole a power rangers toy from a little boy once when I was in middle school(maybe hs freshman). This was when the white ranger had a giant eagle/bird thing. That shit was too cool and the kid was just going to break it anyway. He came over to visit once and I made sure that it was “lost” when it was time for him to go home.
I also fingerbanged his big sister.
Oh god, I would buy that in an instant. It’ll be interesting to see how they “remaster” it. Maybe clean up some of the Japanese footage so they don’t have the weird grainy effect every time they use it?
I knew they wouldnt know how to americanize Shinkenger!

SPD sucked. Dino Thunder and Ninja Storm shit all over it.
They could find a way of getting around that. Knowing Disney they’ll adapt it if they see fit to do it. Meanwhile they’ll rake in tons of money off of MMPR.
if they found a way the show would have been announced already. The show has such a strong Japanese emphasis I just don’t seeing it meshing well here. Of course if they did I wouldn’t be surprised with 3 white kids, 1 black, 1 Asian with an Asian instructor. Oh wait that was ninja storm minus the black guy :lol:
But I will say this that Tenaya 7 has tip the scale in sexy department of the Power Ranger universe.
