It is okay.
I could never force myself through the absolute travesty that was 8.
I still can’t (tried on PS3 again).
At least it still has some RPG trappings, though.
8 may have nearly killed the series, but 13 Theon Greyjoy’d its puppy.
And 15 dumped a metric ton of piss and shit on it’s grave.
I consider 15 to be part of 13. 
So yeah.
