The Suits Thread

Like I said, has to be Claire. Makes absolutely no sense for it to be anyone else but her…unless there’s someone random who also knows that we don’t know about.

I bet its something unrelated, but whatever it is, it threatens to expose his bigger secret, and in order to properly fight it, mikes going to end up staying with the firm a bit longer. There is no way they spend half a season with mike just being an out of work bum, who somehow dodged getting sent to federal prison for a few decades. lol

Like, if mike legit gets caught, there is no way his character can exist outside of being a fugitive, not to mention the firm would crumble in lawsuits from every case mike has worked on, which is like all their big ones.

The creator of the show did a pretty indepth interview here if you want some more insight. He makes it seem like mikes legit caught, but i dont believe that shit, especially not if hes talking about doing 8 seasons. I imagine mike somehow getting anchored back to the firm, he loses his relationship with rachel, and harvey gets his name back on the wall after spending his new free time fixing mikes situation.

Finally caught up.

So the arrest could be something unrelated (remember when Mike got hauled in before?), but there is a chance Hardman actually knows Mike’s secret for one reason or another and is finally pulling that card. That’s kind of a cheap tactic on the writer’s end, but it could be. Highly doubt it’s Clair. It’d be a complete 180 of what she last said. By the way, she looks a lot better now than in those flashbacks.

Makes absolutely no sense for it to be Hardman. If he knew he would’ve used that crap as the final noose over Jessica’s head. He wouldn’t have even needed the Financial weight.

You’re right, it doesn’t make sense. But who else is a bad guy that would expose them? It’s either Hardman or Forrester. Other than that, then some random person checked up Mike’s credentials? One way or another this came out of nowhere.

Doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad guy.

Caught-Up Post: I think the two biggest possibilities for who snitched on him is Rachel or Donna. Rachel because she could’ve cracked under the pressure of continuing to lie for the rest of her life about their marriage/relationship. Donna because… well I’m not sure, but could have something to do with trying to get Harvey to stay at the firm. Louis and Jessica don’t make sense, and Claire screwing him over seems like it’s too obvious of a choice to actually be true.

What SHOULD be the final Half-Season of Suits begins tonight. Because there’s no earthly way the Writers can make this last another season if they’re pushing the endgame now.

That’s cute… You think this “Mike Ross is a Fraud” plot is going to stretch over more than a few episodes like it has every other season.

If it doesn’t, the series still needs to end on it. There’s no recovering from the edge unless the Men In Black show up.

Oh, I agree… It’s time to wrap it up.

They had a nice little out with Mike working for the investment banking firm, but couldn’t resist hitting that reset button one more time.

That was never going to work out either though. Mike is too nice for his own good for that and it showed. Investment banking is a pretty poor place to be an idealist. Hard to do that as a lawyer too but at least he could stick to cases he believed in for the most part.

In the end, the series either ends with him with no job, or back as a lawyer. Even if you believed the Investment Banking ending, it just seemed like more of a limping ending than anything.

Wow, that all worked out unexpectedly this episode. I say the mike ross shit last for 2 more episodes max, and everyone finally moves on. There are only 16 episodes a season. Cant waste too much time on this, and they did a lot in this episode.

Considering how far apart the show is spaced out, i think it could last for a super long time, but its on season 5. Its not ending here, but i think by its 7th season, theyre gonna wrap it up. Wrapping up this mike ross shit actually allows the show to just venture back into season 1 territory, which was suits at its best.

I think this mike ross shit is going to bring soo many people down, and put up a complete brick wall for any solid retaliation from new enemies that mike wont have to worry about this shit again. Im curious as to what happens when louis’s ex girlfriend finds out.

I think season 5 is about shutting this shit completely down from all angles. I wonder if mike is going to break up with rachel again, and next season just become a shark. I see all these trials and tribulations essentially turning him into harvey right now.

Well that’s the good thing about this arc, is that literally ANYTHING can happen. There’s no couple of paths to an endgame or anything, damn near anything and everything is on the table.

I’m impressed in how they’re handling the story. Rachel gets extra points being ride or die, and Mike gets points for owning up to everything he’s done without any excuses.

I suspect that the girl Mike liked from before is the one who snitched.

This is why Mike had no excuses. He had every opportunity to lead a normal life with nothing hanging heavy on his shoulders. It was quite frustrating seeing him go back to the firm, endangering many of his colleagues in the process.

I wanna say it was Claire(the girl Mike knew from before)… but that’s too obvious.

I’m guessing it was either the priest, Louis’ ex at Harvard, or someone from Pearson-Spectre-Litt, like a former Pearson employee… Like Katrina.

Katrina and Mike were (emphasis on “were” since she’s employed by Zane) on pretty good terms and has the utmost respect for Louis. So it’s extremely unlikely that she did something like that without informing her boss and former boss.

The priest is a holy man and cares for Mike and snitching is not in their MO.

Claire and Mike’s ex-best friend’s ex gf are the biggest potential culprits because both have motives and I’m sure Ross’ ex-best friend confided/ confessed more stuff to his ex gf that could’ve triggered her to act.

It would be funny if it ended up being that awkward white dude that got “Litt up!” by Louis many seasons ago, or the black son from Ray Donovan.

And even if she did come to bad terms with Mike, Katrina wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize Louis which outing Mike would immediately do.

So while certain choices seem obvious…I mean, sometimes obvious isn’t bad. No one else has solid enough motive.

…I don’t think anyone had THIS suspect in the pool…

I did. Im surprised i didnt mention it. It made the most sense, because people forgot about her, but that issue was never resolved. But oh well, he said she said. Oh, actually last week i said.

I didnt finish my train of thought on this last week, but i already speculated it was related to her in some way, and or she was going to be involved in this. But again, oh well, we’re here now.

This is convoluted as fuck, and i dont know how they get out of this one to be honest. I think louis is going to set sheila up somehow after gaining her trust back, and whatever they get her to do is going to put her whole testimony into the trash can.

There is no going around sheila at this point. She is the main focus on getting this all tossed out before trial. Mike cant go to trial, he will lose. His old friend, his ex girlfriend, that random girl that he delivered mail to that found out, the harvard professor, harveys ex girlfriend. There are too many people that will not commit perjury for mike.

The subpoenas are gonna get someone in trouble though regardless.

I didnt like donna in this episode at all, and nothing is more annoying to me than a woman with daddy issues. Maybe thats a common white woman issue. Then you blamed harvey for hiring mike. Bitch you knew since day 1. You shoulda fucking quit then if you couldnt handle it. Your silly daddy gets involved, and your brain loses its ability to function rationally.

Also, louis fucking it up by going to go see sheila, and telling this stick in the but to recant the letter, and be an accessory to this shit was so stupid. Its typical lois, sure, but seriously. I wouldve preferred that they had a normal conversation, he didnt leave any hint of guilt, he left thinking it should be okay for now, until they figure out how to deal with sheila, and surprise, she snitched.

To take the show in a new direction, i wouldnt mind seeing mike lose rachel this season, come close to losing everything, and with his new found power from losing rachel, and that this fraud shit is no longer looming over his head, he goes full young harvey next season.
