Yeah, it’s not like they could of “listened” from those neon color complaints back in the SFxT and try to limit the uses of it, minus some certain cloth/accessories that could be designed for neon colors (in small sizes preferably). Taking out neon colors must be hard for Capcom.
…but then you realize that listening must also be very hard on Capcom’s end.
I know, what I meant is knowing the existence of a modding tool for SFV turns certain possibilities like real balance into reality. I wonder if it works online and if you can get banned for using it…
So I play @OceanMachine in SFV, we are both in France and it’s fine for him and rollback fest for me, then we do some GG and everything is ok, like we have 4f of delay but it’s very playable.
What the fuck is going on with SFV netcode. Shit is getting worse for sure.
I’m convinced at this point that it’s not necessarily the netcode itself that’s the problem. At least, not the full cause of the problems that people have been experiencing. Capcom’s servers just can’t handle everything.
Hence why things were working so well in the Beta but have gotten so bad since then.
Not that the netcode doesn’t have its own share of problems though. coughone sided lagcough
The real question is why the fuck do they have to do so much maintenance and what is the maintenance they are actually doing? And oh, why the fuck does it take 12 hours to do it?
Once you are in a match, the servers shouldn’t even come into play at al if it’s a p2p match, which pretty much all matches are. The server (for the most part) just does all of the match making and gets it all set up.
Shouldn’t come into play is the key phrase there. I don’t believe at this point that Capcom set this up in any competent fashion. I mean this is the same Capcom that thought adding a rootkit was a good idea to fix the PC cheating (granted that’s an apples and oranges comparison).
Hence also the 12 hour maintenance issue. They just don’t know what they’re doing with this.
What kind of server do they have to not be able to handle the amount of players SFV has online at the same time which is what, 10k players max with PC+PS4? Probably less than that.
Btw we are both PC.
I mean the only thing I see, in this is than Ocean has (I think) a good/great connection and my connection is not that great. I know nothing about netcode so I don’t know if it explains why I had rollback and he didn’t but that shit is annoying.
