I’m becoming a late game player at this game. I often find myself losing the first match or set. If I end up getting matched up against the same player I end up winning or at least performing better. I’m not allowed to win unless I lose first.

Yeah im not good at winning the first match unless the opponent has like never fought the character im using before. I do better in the 2 outta 3 download so I usually don’t streak very high

45 times he could AA srk a jump in = not one single AA
97 times random jump ins for no reason just in order to get punished by flash kick
38 mashed srks and 28 times random tatsus
he did the same vs me
he always asked me to play him in sets
I always ended up saying " ye sure invite me"
I beat him every single time easily and the only time I lost a set he ended up uploading it on his channel ffs this guy
overall score now is 36-5 in my favor from all the games I played / got matched vs him so far and he didn’t give a single F uploading any of the other matches or sets I won
you gotta respect that…
I think I play too much off of muscle memory, which makes adapting quickly a huge challenge. Even if I know exactly what I need to do I end up falling into the same routines and habits.

Pongko so should have played Ken over Cammy.
The guy either wasn’t even able to get a Hadouken out and got a DP or that is some next next next level gameplay.

Yeah I think Poongko would be doing even better with Ken or Mika. Cammy can go HAM but she can’t just open you up because she’s near you like them.
Poongko needs to play Urien so he has an excuse to rip his shirt off
What is so weird to me in SF5 is that i find a lot of characters in the cast really fun to play. I main Chun and Mika but every now and then i will feel an itch to use Laura or Ryu. I still have lots of fun with Juri.
The other day i was having a blast doing Ibuki’s combos and V-trigger stuff, today i am loving Guile’s corner combos. I really miss using Alex and wanna grind some FM to unlock him. It is fun to go batshit insane with Ken or Cammy every now and then.
So far the only characters i didn’t enjoy using were : Sim, FANG and Karin. I think Necalli is one of the characters i get bored the quickest when using but there is still fun in using him.
Other than them, i have found some enjoyment in using every other character in the cast.
Necalli is like an exploitation movie. Really accessible, simple pleasure, good way to cleanse the palette, but if it’s all you consume you end up with an IQ of room temperature.
