The lack of actual development talent within Capcom is hurting them big time, and this goes beyond just Street Fighter. A lot of their major franchises have either fallen off (Mega Man) or had some abysmal entries lately (Devil May Cry, Resident Evil). Closing Clover Studios was an idiotic decision that proved Capcom is run by suits first and people passionate about games second. Now you see them struggling to keep up with their 90s/00s legacy through reboots/rereleases. The creative talent just isnât there anymore.
Yeah, I am not " good" but i am damn sure is average at the very least.
@OceanMachine I disagree on your sentiment and i do in fact play with a 6 players group and not solo queuing. The thing is when the enemy team is 3 Tanks/3 Supports or 3 Tanks/ 2 Supports and a DPS. It get insanely hard to justify using someone like a Mccree or Soldier because simply you will never be able to get the kills, you simply donât do enough damage.
Yeah you can use the strategy you want but you donât play in a vacuum. The composition of the enemy team is as important as yours. This is what i mean when i say that i must use Reaper, simply i have to use him to counter the sheer number of tanks on the enemy team.
They would treat players across all platforms equally well (consoles AND PC)
They wouldnât purposely make DLC characters top tier and then nerf them due to feedback and backlash from the fans
They would approach balancing appropriately and not go ham with patches every fucking week during the first few months after release
They wouldnât try and be a serious competitive fighting game because they canât produce one
They wouldnât kill off any sort of support for their games as soon as the next one comes out (so you literally cannot purchase their products with a long-term approach, because in 2 years your game will be completely fucking dead)
So, no, they DONâT understand their fanbase. Theyâre just looking for a quick buck and attracting the casuals the easiest way of doing that, because they canât make anything more serious than a 50/50 simulator
There are a lots of factors here based on the type of audience we are talking about. First, let me say that DmC is NOT a garbage game like some people say. It did some things right, I liked the control scheme behind weapon changing and i must say that the level design was probably the best in the series. With that being said,
1- The character design of Dante was the biggest complaint among the people. Old Dante was witty, he was cool and flamboyant. The newer Donte wasnât nearly as charming of a character.
2- The story behind Dante, Vergil and their actions throughout the game.
3- The gameplay being 30FPS on PS3 and 360 (When it came out) instead of being 60FPS like any action game should be.
4- The lack of basic controls like a lock-on feature.
5- The very dumped down combat and style system. ( Biggest complaint from the hardcore DMC fans)
6- The general balancing of the game as side arms were practically useless, the demonic evade being way too overpowered and things like that.
7- Colored enemies that can only be attacked with certain weapon. That part highlighted the problems with the game even more.
8- Many people didnât like how the devil trigger was handled.
Now have both sides just a reason to fight each other.
Example?
"Fucking PC players,he cheated! He used mods for his advantage!â
And
"Stupid PS4 player,I always lag after the frist match, fucking lagswitcher.â
Here you can see, that complains from both sides are usualy stupid.
McCree not doing enough damage? Thatâs newâŠ
Anyway, you should think as if each hero was a certain special move of your own characters. Do you throw fireballs at Karin knowing she can H Ressenha above them? No, so you stop throwing fireballs. In Overwatch your whole team counts as a character, so if one of them is countered you change strategy by switching. Or maybe itâs your teammate that has to switch to protect you and let you go on your killing spree.
I mean, thatâs how competitive play works at any level. You have to adapt to your opponentâs strategy or perish. Thereâs nothing specific to OW in that.
Nothing really. UE4 is pretty much already made for crossplay, they just have to run the same code on all machines. All their other mistakes are unrelated to the presence of crossplay.
Still, why are the match making parameters all fucked up. Why canât I search for people in my own region etc. Why canât I communicate with anyone in 2016⊠Why canât⊠Ugh the list goes on. If the idea of cross play was to get a bigger player base or use it for the CFN - they failed.
I got more games/varied opponents on a solitary SF4 system than the combined SF5 systems.
Iâm surprised that World Combo has not been banned yet. Just fought his Balrog twice and he had an 109 win streak. First game I closed him out with four command grabs in a row and he quit like a bitch. Second time I bumped into him, I beat his scrubby ass again but this time he just took the loss. Guess he used up his disconnect quota for the day. It baffles my Capcom doesnât just use the same penalty system they did in SF4. It was perfectly fine.
Did I miss something? Who said racist shit about Mike? Seriously, even the people who make fun of him seem to do it out of affection. Mike Ross is like the most lovable dude in the FGC, apart from maybe LI Joe.
