I love Aegis reflector.
I get this ryu pinned in the corner after he already activated. My first Aegis doesnāt do anything so Iām on my second. Weāre both at like 15-20% health. I either air reset him, or knocked him down (cant remember which exactly), but I back away to keep my good position to react to whatever he does to try to get out of the corner. As I back up I throw out my close Aegis, not even a second later he tosses an ex hadouken that kills him instantly.
Iām laughing my ass off. I lost the set (brought it back to 2-2 after being down 0-2 and lost the last match because i stubbornly tried to challenge ryuās aa jab for a round⦠it aint work), but it was a great moment.
I thought Beta 4 was mainly the final version since that was very close to release due to being an out of the blue announcement (I even remembered that saying from Combifiend that āthings would change in the finalā being mostly a lie and remembered that almost nothing changed from the last beta, being beta 4, onto the final version)?
Yea I did, I like his take on Guile better than any other player right now. I always liked how isdd controls space with his guile. Better than any other player imo. He can make a wall that Guile is supposed to be and switch to a hyper aggressive rushdown when he wants.
I havenāt quite got down the proper spacing for a lot of his stuff though, partially because I play so many different characters. Will be spending more time exclusively with guile though.
couple of weeks ago switched my main from ryu to urien and instantly fell in love with his specials and normals (colors are amazing too) , but fuck i have no game plan or solid strategy for him and usually spam st.mk and st.mp~st.hp. Iām not gonna give up on him but itās a pain in the ass
Iāve been doing a lot of thinking lately, and whereas there are many complaints that get thrown around, this game is pretty stellar. Sure thereās the randomness that passes as footsies, thereās the herp derp that passes as a female wrestler and a few iconic characters that pose more than a passing resemblance to a backstreet boys reject, however the game is pretty well balanced and the over all feel of it is better than IV.
Urienās hit confirms are pretty bad compared to most of the cast and on top of that they are very situational. Headbutt whiffs on crouchers and requires charge; LK tackle is risky vs 3f jabbers since it leaves you even on hit and it also requires charge, fireball doesnāt require charge but itās not a true combo off of lights at most ranges, cr.LP > s.LP-s.MP xx HK tackle is nice but the s.LP-s.MP target combo is unsafe on block and the s.MP whiffs unless youāre quite close.
So yeah hit confirming is definitely not his strong point, but I think with practice it will become easier. Itās something I need to work on as well.
