As Highlandfireball made me remark a few days ago, forward throw is -4 after dash and you can deny mixups after a DP by doing a backroll. He only scrubs his way in because of the fear he puts in the opponent when he punishes something.

You weren’t really jumping a lot so I was rather trying to focus on the spacing of your normals. mfw Chun’s heavy buttons have the same startup as my medium buttons and more range 
(I think I AAed you enough though because I got the FM for the mission after the first few matches lol)

Ryu is an honest man
Even in Marvel 3, the easiest, scrubbiest game ever he still opted to fight transparently and with the utmost honesty. Nobody complained when they lost to Ryu in that game. They just got outplayed

SFV has hardly anything that actually qualifies as dishonest so people are grasping at straws to find something to bitch about.
The amount of times I have heard light AAs called “cheap” this week alone is staggering.

Is it possible to be so honest it’s dishonest? That might be SFV Ryu.
I mean it’s one thing to have trouble beating something and another thing to decide that it’s dishonest just because you can’t beat it. Most of the stuff I see people complaining about is stuff that I lose to as well, BUT I know what it feels like to lose to actually cheap stuff and I just never get that kind of feeling in SFV.

Yeah, we need like, sf5 awards for notable posts. The complaints are too real. So much to discuss in this game, specially if people want to talk about buffs and nerfs. There’s certain things about how the game is designed that people aren’t quite exploring.
Think a bit of it is that sf5 is pretty different in some areas so sf4 kids losing their shit.
The only thing i dislike about SF5 Ryu is that he represents the whole " Honesty " Bullshit more than anyone.

Such a myth and a mindgame that people love to say to feel good about themselves. " Oh… I use Ryu… I am fair… " fucking bullshit if you ask me. There are good characters and bad characters. That is it.
Cheap,honest and all of these shenanigans are just bunch of crap that people spit out. I like Ryu in SF5, he is a shoto that is solid and is fun to play.
Winning through footsies or zoning. Mostly used to describe characters which don’t depend on is mix ups to win the game.
