They are and losing in the premier events to Guiles, Cammys, Kens and other characters that either do well vs her or are just easier to play.
Cammy is the closest I have to a nunber one character, but she does have struggle vs a couple lower tier characters thar arenāt played much. Other than that she fits the meta better than Chun. Not giving a shit about projectiles and being able to shut down footsies and the iffy anti airs with dives. If shes stocked with meters she basically shuts down the options of most of the cast and essentially gets access to two supers. Chun is good but she cant stop you from whiffing normals or throwing fireballs from full screen into huge damage.

Just watched the archive of SCR top 8.
KBrad really impressed me. He improved a lot.
But overall the tournament in Milan was a bit more hype imo.

Crismons decision is hilarious as Laura can kill in one hit while Dhalsim gets hit once and dies.
Thatās like going from a shotgun which he had alot of success with to a butter knife.
Also Champ amd Chris T are not in Capcom cup, they dont have enough points. Especially F.Champ who hasnāt done anything offline and has been struggling to win online qualifiers. Of which he finally got 1.
Still no where near enough points to make the CC l believe. Could be wrong but I think Chris T, Kbrad, Ricki, and Nuckledu all have more points than Champ.
Julio has a bazillion points from winning 2 ranked b2b. Heās been locked in for awhile.
Itās a matter of preference I guess. Laura and Sim are pretty much at the same tier, but Sim is a little more technical and can control space much better than her all while being able to mixup the opponent. Maybe he was picking him because he was struggling in some MUs and he ended up liking him more than Laura.
Will2pac also played Nash with Laura, but it looks like he believes much more in his character - and indeed you canāt say heās wrong since heās in top 8 of nearly every tournament he gets in.
On that note, there is a stunning relationship between the level of faith you have in your character and the results you have with them. I think it is not a coincidence if Itazan, Will2pac and Xian all think their mains are much better than most people think while Krone and Snake Eyes that kept complaining about them are underperforming. Even if you may argue that you tend to have a better opinion of characters you are successful with.
That argument kinda falls apart when Crismon won a major tournament with Laura and was highly competitive with anyone with his character. I never saw him get blowned out with Laura.
Ever since the switch to Sim heās been getting feet up his ass once he gets to top 16ās. Sometimes top 32ās of stacked tournaments. This is a big drop off from what he was getting before and many people are starting to notice.
While he may think this is an improvement his results say something different. Also personally I think Laura is a much stronger character.
Dhalsim would be a good side character for him since he does well vs some of Lauras trouble matches. Flat out running Sim through entire tournaments isnāt a great idea though. Its becoming a struggle now for even the best.

Will2pac has stated that Nash is the better character but he has to like the character to play them. Asked why he like Laura, he stated she was hot and has big boobs. That was an interview on winner stays on capcom twitch channel.
