The Street Fighter V Lounge: Tron Bonne rumored as DLC

That bitch would have gotten psycho blasted into oblivion, she don’t want them purple flames.

Yeah, it just felt like my only option was to keep them out, but eventually they do get in. So I feel like with all the work I need to put in to just not get jumped on, it might just be worth the effort to pick a character that doesn’t have to work that goddamn hard.

Capcom has 2 years to reveal BB Hood and Jin Saotome in a new game or else I swear to holy jesus sandles I’ll shoot this shit up.

Careful what you now during this day and age. You will go to Guatamono Bay and play games that all have Ingrid in it.

I really don’t get NRS sometimes. They definitely over-patched MK9 but I felt like overall that they didn’t go berserk with the patches for Injustice 1 (disclaimer: I did not play Superman in Injustice 1). Then MKX rolls around and it’s patch after patch after patch. I had kind of thought that they had learned between their approaches to MK9 and Injustice 1 which approach was better but apparently not. Now, am I a fan of once a year (or more) updating? Nope. IMO a year is too much time to invest into a character only to see that character get ruined or changed dramatically. I would also say that a year is too long to let something truly OP run wild on your game. For example IMO BlazBlue would have a much larger player base today if, once it became obvious that the first iteration of the game had three S+ tier characters, it had received an update to correct that problem sooner than it did. As it was the game got stuck with “not Guilty Gear” and “broken mess” labels that seem to have permanently relegated it to niche status.

Once a year patching works for SFV because of the honesty shtick built around SFV. The most complained about character isn’t even top tier. The top tiers are more honest than the only character you really hear people consistently bitch about.

The DLC characters were made even more modestly but I would say they are all viable and have potential due to the amount of tools they have compared to the launch cast. They definitely work for those players who thought the launch cast had no real use in training mode.

It’s sad that they let Kokonoe and the other S+tiers just run amuck for a year. In anime games playing a good neutral game alone doesn’t help great vs really OP characters. Which means you really don’t get to have much fun if they’re too good. You’re going to be dealing with BS constantly in the neutral and when they get in.

I think it’s better having to relearn the MUs once per year than having to relearn them every week.

Unless it’s Mika

I swear the Season 2 of SFV must currently be the biggest FGC mystery

No dates, no details, no characters (or their numbers), etc

Hopefully Capcom Cup will be exciting

because season one is not even done and there is still stuff to come/be finished.
why should they give infos out for 2017 stuff in october…

seems to be the same format as the red bull thing with the same reward?!

Mystery? PFFFFT. We all know Cody’s gonna be there.

Looks like Ibuki and Urien will be banned in Street Fighter V: Virtual Reality Edition

I hope the balance update for SFV doesn’t change to much stuff. I’m really looking for small additions to mechanics, M. Bison changes, and characters. Despite I find Chun and Cammy to be very annoying…I’m always force to go back to the lab and adjust my gameplay instead of crying for nerfs.

I saw tweets from Alucard regarding Claw and he made him out to be top tier. The adjustments he suggested would likely ruin Vega and I don’t even play him.

You know how Sagat was the character everyone used in SFIV at the beginning because he was super easy and had good damage? And then after a while people were like oh snap Akuma, Seth, Cammy and some other characters I forgot are fucking brokenly good.

Who do you think will climb the tier lists as time progresses in this game? Personally I think Karin and Cammy are two character that will climb with time. I know they’re already top tier but I meant…topper tier.

People really…really believe since their character "sucks"
that qualifies them for a buffs
or if said player loses a lot to said character
that qualifies them for a nerf

You people really didn’t play SF4 :^)

Nobody in SFV comes close to the characters Capcom let out out the gate in SF4 (maybe even xTK but I didn’t play xRuse)

Expect the most MODEST and SMALLEST changes you have ever seen next year.

Teaser:

M. Bison: Walk speed increased by .5
Juri: Fixed a reflection error in her default outfit

Ken’s hair still gonna clip through his outfit in Season 2 at the character select screen, even though Beta 3 (or 4, one of them) had the clipping issue fixed.

I’m fine with smalls changes…as long as the changes are useful. I don’t even expect Bison to receive a notepad full of changes, but he certainly qualifies to have another look at. The majority of the cast don’t have to respect him.

I think it depends on what is making the top tier characters top tier. Obviously broken or unintended stuff like infinites, meter glitches, moves that just don’t work, or missing hurt-/hitboxes should be patched out the second it’s possible. But if some characters are just better, that’s not so bad. Pre-patching we just had to live with it. Third Strike is kind of busted on a competitive level and Garou has infinites, but they’re still great games.

I don’t think Karin will rise up in tiers. All Karin players have been declining in performance in tournaments and even JWong is thinking to drop her. I actually think she’s a candidate for dropping down.

Why is jwong thinking about dropping karin?
