The Street Fighter V Lounge: Tron Bonne rumored as DLC

Because, USF4 wasn’t getting average 10K viewers a year ago, lol. That’s your bad memory playing tricks on you.

A year ago, WNF with USF4 was getting around 3K-5K…like SF5 does now.

It’s a frickin’ weekly. Even Smash weeklies don’t get 10k regularly these days.

BTW, Japanese and Chinese restreams regularly add thousands of additional views. That’s…a lot:

I don’t even need the S2 characters. More so I just to see how Capcom is going to approach balance going forward. If they go full hacksaw on any character, even one I don’t play, I don’t see myself putting a ton of effort into SFV going forward. Right now though I’ve been operating on the (perhaps misguided) assumption that someone at Capcom has a functioning brain and have been splitting my time between my current main (R. Mika), a current high tier alt. (Nash) and a current low tier alt. (Fang). If future rebalancing is more surgical and less butcher shop I’ll probably end up playing whichever between those three sees the most overlap between good and fun. I don’t have any real wishlist for S2 characters so anyone that was released would really have to blow the three already mentioned characters out of the water on the ‘good’ and ‘fun’ metrics for me to consider switching.

I reckon that the changes they make to the core game will shake things up more than their individual balance changes. The changes they do make will most likely coincide with whatever new systems or general techniques they add to to the game. I think it’s pretty obvious that they game won’t stay mechanically the same as stuff like that helps sell newer people to the gameplay.

I don’t see them being as bad with balancing as they were with IV. It’s possible, but there’s a lot of examples (including the recent KOF XIV patch) to show that they can still keep high tier characters strong and just less braindead.

If it’s in the game I’ll abuse it, but in general I hate dive kicks in an SF game because the way the anti-air system generally works usually makes having a dive kick a massive advantage.

They are fine in games with a lot of air mobility, but in games with fixed jump arcs they grant a little too much.

Hacksaw jim duggin is what this game needs now more than ever

Uh, a year ago? I mean maybe a year before that, a year ago there was only WNF online edition cause Watson was having arcade trouble + issues with Valle, so yeah, 3-5k viewers. But i’m pretty sure my memory serves me right, i remember even FGTV house getting 10k viewers average.

FGTV I believe got its highest views during Marvel 3. There was a time where Marvel 3 was getting more stream views and entrants at a lot of majors than SFIV. People forget that game used to be the final game at majors and Evo over IV.

I can’t imagine there’s a huge difference between stream viewage for SFIV and V except SFV clearly has more tourney entrants than IV ever did. Adding new characters, modes and fixes to the features and gameplay should be a good recipe to keep viewage and entrants even stronger.

You have been released from Evil. From this day forward you shall simply be known as …

Canadian.

Does anyone want to play?

I need to work on my execution in the heat of battle.

Nope, Esports Arena WNF started with SF4 last year, before SF5 came out. And, yup, it was getting around what SF5 is getting now.

And, as I stated above, even Smash doesn’t regularly get 10k viewers for weeklies these days. Twitch isn’t what it used to be several years ago. Has nothing to do with SF5 itself.

You’re saying Twitch is losing viewers? Nopeeeeeeee! Twitch is actually booming right now, it’s a billion dollar service. And Smash tournaments always get 30K + viewers.

You’re the first person to suggest that Twitch is dying, weird.

Uh mike ross left so its obv dyin bro
