Here’s what I’m visualizing right now:
After the SFV finals at Canada Cup, Ono/Combofiend/Capcom rep comes onstage for a reveal. A trailer plays for a “November Update”, announcing Alex/Ibuki’s nostalgic costumes and a SFV arcade mode to go with the release of the arcade version of the game. The hype culminates in a Thailand stage where Bison is the final boss. But, the trailer doesn’t end yet. To go with Bison’s place as the final boss, 2 Dolls (Probably Decapre and Juli) are announced as being playable in this update and get the slots above Juri and Urien. The real update will hit November 1st (next Tuesday).

Possible things that could happen instead:
-The slots are for 2 surprise characters, built using the amount of time Capcom had after finishing Juri and Urien. This opens up the possibilities quite a bit, and could be Akuma, Necro (Halloween stage), Sagat, or any number of characters.
-Bison could get a nostalgic costume to go with the new stage; other characters like Juri, Balrog, and Vega could get these types of costumes too.
-Season 2 teaser is dropped, similar to the silhouettes we had for Season 1.

Complete waste of 2 character slots.

Nor do I. Seems kind of silly to be honest. I’d be cool with the decision if they added a ground bounce to CC sweeps, that would be pretty awesome

It is literally one event where there will be those arcade setups. Capcom already dismissed any chance of an arcade version simply because it’s not profitable.

On the topic of sweeps, why is nobody allowed to have a Gouken-esque sweep? Is it because of the CC system, because I still don’t think it’d be a big deal tbh. It’s retarded thst every sweep needs to be so negative

Forget “Gouken-eqscue”. Most characters don’t even have a sweep that can be safe even when spaced at the tip. I’d honestly be fine with just that.

SFV doesn’t really have long range, safe-on-block lows in general. Probably a deliberate decision, but I don’t really get why.

What do you mean how would it make sense? You mean how would the animation work? I’m picturing something like the CC Sweep knocks them in the air a bit (but this part wouldn’t be a juggle state) and then on landing they do a ground bounce
