The thing is his most dangerous poke is a low. His D+3 (cr.mk) leads to alot of shit from a distance most of his other pokes don’t cover. Not to mention is crushs highs. Point of the video though is that mids are what would be overheads in SF. In Tekken they aren’t gimped normals, but instead legit ass pokes with some uses outside of some damage. There’s also a reason to use them since highs whiff on crouching opponents and certain moves will straight up crush highs.
not gonna lie though, the potential it opens up for SF characters in a TxSF game is really fun. Imagine a tick thrower like Alex or Mika for instance being backed by that system. I’m over here trying to picture how some of their moves would look and man it’s kinda exciting.
The best thing about Akuma being in Tekken is me listening to all the bitching about him from my friends who mainly play Tekken games.
Yeah what Paradise is saying is right. You usually want to stand block in Tekken, there are few low launchers and they are usually react-able and very punishable on block. There are some good low pokes in Tekken but they usually won’t launch and you don’t want to get predictable as a low crush move like a hop kick or a low parry can destroy your move.
Am I the only one who never noticed you gain V-Gauge while blocking Medium and Heavy normals? I feel so stupid for not realisizng this until like… a couple of days ago
