I liked the neutral and character variety of 4, but that’s about it. Everything else about that game was terrible.
I was on a sf4 kick a few weeks back, there’s so many problems with that game I don’t even know where to begin.

Nothing as annoying to me as the AA lights in this game. I played a Ryu earlier whom I had crossed over and my j.mk hitbox was already in him by the looks of it, but his panic st.lp forced a trade with me. It looked ridiculous.
SF4 is still my least favorite SF game.
CA is gonna stay chip killing niggas as it should.
I’ll be the first to admit that SF4 has a lot of problems, but what I like about it compared to 5 is that they just kind of put interesting ideas out there and let the community abuse them. In most new games there’s an ugly creeping problem where you can always sort of feel the invisible hand of the designer pushing you in a certain direction. The more directed, railroaded approach of 5 keeps people who find janky mechanics annoying happy, but it does so at the expense of a dynamic meta that changes as players find new ways to exploit the game and its characters. Two people might have totally different philosophies on how many given character in 4 should be played. They both go into the lab, find cool stuff, figure out which pokes they like, where they want to stand. As a result of that their options and choices are totally different from one another. They have different answers to the same problems. SF4 is, for all its problems, a game that allows you to be very expressive.
SF5 has fewer problems because it is a* very *design-heavy game. Everything is meticulously scripted. But as a result it lacks character.
i absolutely hated SF4 for many many reasons…but i sincerely wish the game wasnt dead. the average number of peeps playing right now is about 350 people worldwide on steam. about 100 more folks than when SFV first dropped and everyone migrated but its still horrid numbers.
350.
worldwide.
that number is too low for me to get gg with anyone on a consistent basis. there are times i wanna play that game even though i despise it. mostly cuz of the huge character roster you can fuck around with…partially cuz i spent/devoted a huge amount of time on and “know” the game.
lastly, i developed a good amount of shenanigan tech which was fun to use.
fyi
right now its about 2,700 folks daily on SFV on steam worldwide. before Juri release it was about 2000 daily. it was about 5,000 online daily when SFV first dropped.
Depending on the characters hurtbox Juri’s CA damage varies…

The tiers reflect exactly the characters health (1st one = 1050/1000, 2nd one = 950, 3rd = 900), so I think the difference is due to the damage scaling when your health is below a certain threshold.
Nope. Noy even gonna talk about that game.
Ultras, Invincible backdash, FADC on DPs, 10 wake up options per character, El Fuerte, Seth, Dive Kicks on Dive Kicks, Healing! Crouch tech into big combo, and crouch tech in general can all eat a bag of dicks.
Juri’s theme is growing on me. I think her theme goes well with the nighttime forgotten waterfall stage.
@TheKingOfParody Better do some corrections before spreading potentially wrong infos.
Buck SF4.
That is all.
As for @FengShuiEnergy, this isn’t the first time he’s left the forums for a while. Back in the SF x TK thread he kept saying stuff like “Juri’s counter is more threatening than a DP” and “I don’t need to block on wake-up because I have a counter alongside throw invincible moves.” He’d do stuff like Juri’ clst.hp on wake-up, things like that. I called him out and challenged him to a FT10 to prove his theory fighting. I 10-0’d him, tried to give him advice (as did the rest of the thread); he said “F**k you guys I don’t need your advice and I won’t take it” and left for about a month.
But he came back with a bit of a better head on his shoulders so it worked out in the end.
So yeah, when he gets “called out” like that, he gets a bit…sensitive. But he’ll be back eventually.
@TheKingOfParody Posted!
If I do Karin’s most damaging combo it will do 549 damage on every character in the game :S

Jab Fighter 4 - Never again.
[/quote]Omg…that beautiful Bison walkspeed…smh.
And fuck Elena…she retired me.
SFIV was a good, maybe even great, game at its best. It was also controller-throwingly annoying at its worst.
For reference here:
At its best:
At its worst:
If you manage your resources well, you can V-Reversal super attempts to CA kill you and you won’t get chipped out.
