I dunno if many agree but I personally really enjoyed MK Armageddon’s story mode, it certainly wasn’t the best of story telling and such, but damn I just loved the 3D beat em up parts and the RPG-ish aspects such as like getting new moves while playing it along with finding all sorts of hidden stuff. It was such a fun mode overall, kinda wish more FGs would have gameplay variety in their story modes to add something so it stands out.
The penalty for RQ with this system could be you lose 2x whatever bonus your currently on ( at max you’d lose 6x everything + the regular difference you woulda lost from fighting someone lower/higher LP than you + their streak bonus for being a bitch and wasting their time ). RQ would drop you hella bad and cause you down raise your put you in timeout.
Maybe that’s too harsh though. Gotta start in the extreme on the concept though, so there’s a fallback for RQ at all in the system. Then tone it back.
Was that the MK with MK chess? Where in the story you meditate to pass time and gotta fight niggas to learn their moves?

That one is Deception, Armageddon is the one with every MK character ever at the time and had that weird Mario Kart mini game.
Uncharted 4 is a nice distraction from SFV.

Bringing out story mode now is like someone offering a non alcoholic beverage after you just smashed 6 tequilas and 5 beers.
All the losers that drink that stuff went home and now it’s just the alcoholics left fighting over the fat chick.
To rub salt in the wounds they probably will bring out a streets of rage side scroller that has a region filter to play with a friend, 4 frames of lag, a chat box and stage BGM.
