here if you have time watch this ,

I was about to write something about how you American scrubs should just embrace GMT and avoid any forms of confusion on the timezone-front ever again.
Then I remembered that North America still uses imperial measurement units rather than actually sensible units.
Sigh.Only the US uses the imperial system. Canada and Mexico use the international standard.
Which is just really stupid considering how much of a mess it is:

Why can’t the US just adopt and adapt to the metric system, I wonder how people can even do math physics equations there without any problems smh.
Simple because it would cost a shit load of money and everyone here at least understands it (to a certain extent)

When you face the AI in training mode, it’s actually really good. I don’t understand why it’s so terrible in Survival. Anyway, if they used the AI from training mode and just expanded upon it a bit in the story, then it wouldn’t be that bad and would prove a challenge to a lot of people. Whoever the final boss is could be given some special properties like Akuma/Evil Ryu/Gouken/Oni had in Ultra. I dunno… I miss the days of getting stuck on final bosses in video games.
I was stuck on ULT rugal today again on CVS2.
Those AI’s will gladly let you know that your links to combo did not go through. I never knew how serious his walkspeed was when he causally walked back from a DP after teleporting into point blank range! GOD of shimmy!

You use the metric system for math and science in college. We just understand both

Can we real talk right now? What are you guys expecting from the cinematic story mode? Everyone I see talking about is saying its most likely gonna suck and not make up for the shit we’ve had to deal with from Capcom
I’m expecting a good story, but they said it’s only about 2 hours long. Not sure if it’s 2 hours of cinematics-worth, or 2 hours including gameplay. After that, SF5 will still be as barebones as it was. They needed to expand on each characters intro story. The prologues are garbage.
2 hours of cinematics. So with gameplay, it could be a 3-4 hour experience. Maybe.
Nah, that’s an overstatement. I don’t think there’s going to be much of a fighting other than at some key points in the story a-la Nash vs Bison or Chun vs Rashid. Most of it hopefully will be just that, a cinematic experience similar to GGXrd
Canon side fights would be pretty cool too like a Karin Vs Oro, Laura/Mika in the wrestling tour, Ryu Vs Ken because Ryu needs the runback. Small shit like that.
Anyone knows what’s pepeday up to? Didn’t see him in the recent button mashers tournament. Is he not playing sf5?
Chun Li needs a canon fight win

Chun Li needs a canon fight win
Just let her verse vega. It’s bound to happen again.

Why can’t the US just adopt and adapt to the metric system
Because we arent dirty commies.
As a matter of fact, I used to work for the national geospatial agency and everything was in the metric system. The only unit we listed both was kilometers to miles.
It’s really second nature to some Americans to understand both.

I always thought honest was just terminology for being shit.
“DeeJay? Yeah…he’s just a really honest character.”
It isn’t. It’s used by scrub lords and non-competitors to describe a character who isn’t top tier, something no character should aspire to be apparently.
It’s a ridiculous concept. Fighting games–or competitive games of any nature, really–are known to at times contain some stratagem or character known to be highly successful with little risk and easy to use. When competing against others, why is it looked down upon when they use these obviously great strategies/characters? Because it makes their favorite thing to do or character unplayable? Tough titties. This isn’t a “who likes this thing the most” tournament, it’s a competition. You play to win.
I came from Marvel 2 and believe me there were characters I liked a lot more than the top tiers, but I was there to win not to show people how awesome I think Spider-Man is when teamed up with Silver Samurai. So this concept of “honesty” in fighting games is foreign to me and against the spirit of this very site.
Shit like that shouldn’t be supported. It should be snuffed out.
The word as it’s used currently doesn’t describe that. Maybe that was it’s old definition, but it’s not really used to describe a character that isn’t top tier.
You can be a mid or lower tier and still be dishonest. It’s more just about how “straight up” the character fights. If the character is mostly using neutral or footsies to open you up, they are considered honest. Characters that rely heavily on mix ups with relative safety or doing things that are at the brink of human reaction constantly to open you up are considered more dishonest.
It’s the “acceptable” way to call a character cheap or not cheap. That’s it. Scrub talk using deceptive words.
Can I ask this? Why did people wait until SF5 to start calling shit honest or dishonest? I wasn’t around for SF4 so that’s a whole seven years of FGC I missed. But I remember when I first got into SF3 which was back in 2007, I know this because CPS3 being cracked is the reason I signed up for SRK. We didn’t have a newbie dojo back then. If you wanted help you had to take your ass in that subforum and hope the FG gods didn’t cut your fucking head off for saying stupid shit. There was none of this “honest” shit? The character was either good, mediocre or just all around bad. Then you had the upper echelon (Chun/Yun/Ken) and that’s about it.
I’m used to that mid tier life. I mained Ibuki in 3rd strike.
They didn’t… In SF4, they called it “brain dead.” Dishonest is just another way to say that without sounding like a scrub. The intent is still the same, but it’s more acceptable to say dishonest than it is to say cheap/broken/overpowered/brain dead.
They used the word honest in 4. But it was mostly to mean a character who played traditional sf instead of focusing on set play

Anyone knows what’s pepeday up to? Didn’t see him in the recent button mashers tournament. Is he not playing sf5?
He’s a family man now, no time for your silly games

Yo why does Donovan from Streets of Rage 2 have a better anti-air attack than Vega?
All jokes aside. Clawless Cr.HP is actually VERY good.
Anyone free to play some matches?
I always trade my games in then my mom asks me what I want for my birthday. I end up telling her every game i traded in within the last 6 months.
I get a little emotional when I let my games go for cash
I must be the only one that likes fat birdie
