Just because there’s a playable build of Ibuki doesn’t mean the update’s been approved by Sony/Steam and ready to go live. And lol at expecting Cinematic Story to be anything special. The game was rushed, don’t expect Cinematic Story be anything more than a copy of MKX’s story mode.

I think his VT is poorly designed, the way it functions make it so that you don’t need to ever use VR, because even if you activate with 15% health, his damage and mobility buffs make it highly likely that he can ceback regardless. That and his St.HK being stupid are what make me hate him the most.

I don’t know why they decided to make long range CC normals safer than sweeps, that shit make no sense balance wise.

Sweeps are generally a fair bit faster though and of course they hit low. If CC normals like Necalli s. rh were unsafe at all ranges, they’d be nearly useless except as DP punishes. Necalli’s s. rh is 12f after all (-4 on block).

Laura and Mika can both punish it on block at max range with their supers which is always good for a laugh.

IMO the only thing OP about Necalli is the fact that his s. lk has 4 active frames, that’s nuts. If I meaty you with proper timing, his ordinarily bad 8f command grab becomes a Mika mixup if you block s. lk late. With BETTER reward. Better reward if you get hit while anticipating a throw anyway. But I can teach you to start holding up easily.

I’m mad I stopped playing Street Fighter V to watch this bullshit.

Sweeps cause a knockdown state. His st. Hk does not. As for the VR it seems more like he was designed with that in mind.

I guess I didn’t explain myself well; I don’t think his St.HK is OP, I just find it brain-dead and poorly designed like his VT. I would also prefer if sweeps were safer and kick CC were made more unsafe (maybe like -6 or -7 with similar or more pushback), just so that even if I can’t get the punish, at least my turn is guaranteed regardless of spacing.

Your turn is guaranteed with it at -4 even if you block the edge of his toe though. You can either just be lazy and hit a button which will stuff anything he does if he does anything, or even walk forward for a few frames and then touch him with jab/short which will do the same and give you guaranteed frame advantage 100% of the time unless he does a DP or something.

Safer sweeps would have to have increased startup. Sweeps are already quite good.
