Everything that becomes mainstream sacrifices its identity to appeal to the lowest possible common denominators. This is the price all pay for mass acceptance. We knew what we were getting into.

Having said that, I love SF5 and it has been my favorite era in my history with fighting games since the early 2000s. I am happy to be alive knowing that my favorite game is on TV and is possibly on the cusp of a new golden age for fighting games. I don’t miss SF4 and all that it entailed at all.

to each their own i respect youre opinion, but ive had the best moments and excitements in my life from sf4 ive played every streetfighter game and my first tournament ive ever attended was from streetfighter 4, ive even made great friends through the game this game just meant a little more to me than sfv but its whatever

SF4 is still on, why you stop playing that game? To me the the time of it was over,I felt the urge to something new when I’ve fallen asleep meanwhile I was in the lab with Makoto. People has forgotten the boredom around the last year of SF4 where the only hype moments were during tournaments. If SFV isn’t your kind of game then drop it, the core game ain’t going to change.

I don’t know if I should be impressed or depressed by the fact that despite playing all of the games that are contributing to BBxTB that it’s looking increasingly unlikely that any character that I mained in any of those games (BB- Tager; P4A - Teddie; UNIEL - Vatista) is going to make it in. My favourite instance of commentary ever is just aris on commentary for MK, and during a lull between matches he opens up a stream for marvel 3 and starts going “OH, OH, OH, OH” and correctly stating that is the only thing marvel commentary is.

I like how because of where FGC came from, the players will never be hollywood, they on that bollywood life ghetto life style. Meanwhile E sports on Dota and League make players seem like gods, and have one hour Q&A’s and shit, which are considered events on Twitch to some people. Meanwhile if I wanna talk to Kbrad or Jwong, I just go to their stream, and 9 times out of 10 they reply. LOL

this is kinda true, league players are mad pretentious as fuck ive met and hung out with some players like justin, pr rog,aquasilk, insaynne,gootecks, mike ross, chris hu, li joe and yipes who lives like 10 mins from me and the only player ive ever had a bad experience with is with sanford kelly . i really dont get why League players get so many people dickriding them all i see them as is Profession clickers

At least Yipes still commentates without eSports as an anchor on his neck in that local. (NLBC I think. Has been a while since I last watched it.)

nothing happened to him, he tried to commentate in his old style like he always does, he slipped up and cursed and then they took him off of commentary after the match was over a few months ago after that i havent seen him
