Basically.

I still remember how hype a lot of us were at the end of season 1, here and with IRL dudes in the scene, and how shitty that patch was.

Its okay though; the one thing I learned was that I wasn’t good because of the patch things patched out and I’m not bad because of things patched in.

Gotta have F U N D A M E N T A L S.

compare what the SFV tournament is now and compare SF4 tournament then when everything seemed more serious like money matches, shit talking from a players friends, more serious pop offs, Non-PG commentary random streams from the players that made the game or the community more fun (aquasilk,Floe, justin wong) even the forums for the game were more exciting to read including character threads. now commentary is super boring with almost no personality, everything seems censored including characters ( you cant use default cammy costume or r.mika’s) ,golf clapping, less exciting game with less strategy involved, no more exciting/intense money matches and to top it all off capcom sorta forces players to always play on that wack ass ring of destiny stage. its funny looking back because players wanted fighting games to get enough recognition to be in esports but i think no one predicted everything would be so watered down and boring, remember how funny commentary at nextlevel arcade was from the likes of yipes, chris hu, lee chung, chris matrix and all the funny uncensored stuff they use to say? well now its all gone now even crowd hype is weak

I think I’m playing the game wrong because I don’t mind fighting Laura, Cammy and Necalli with any character.

Ken though, Ken can fuck off with his throw loops when I’m using fuckin’ Birdie.

Edit: SFV has a long way to go, Capcom can do their best to dress SFV and Marvel up in E-Sports thongs but the troof will always come to light. As of right now…yeah nobodies going back to SF4 but SF4’s track record is still golden…we’ll see when AE drops if people really want to still benchmark the two games.

i havent even touched the game since its release i even managed to get the game a week or two before its actual release date and once i played the game and realized how barebones it was and how watered down most of the characters were it turned me off. i stuck to watching a few streams of the game for months hoping the game would improve and become fun like how SF4 use to be but its still kinda boring. but im forcing myself to slowly comeback to fighting games since i quit league of legends which the game itself is poison lol

Everything that becomes mainstream sacrifices its identity to appeal to the lowest possible common denominators. This is the price all pay for mass acceptance. We knew what we were getting into.

Having said that, I love SF5 and it has been my favorite era in my history with fighting games since the early 2000s. I am happy to be alive knowing that my favorite game is on TV and is possibly on the cusp of a new golden age for fighting games. I don’t miss SF4 and all that it entailed at all.

Mysterious mod seems to be aimed at ultra players. Those niggas even made more critical arts and a vtrigger cancel mechanic. Well fuck me, I think Ima install that and let the real game stay as it is and not bother with the rest of the game.

What’s a guy gotta do to get Izanami announced? Yukiko and Gordeau are great additions. Even if the former was a guarantee. All I need at this is Mitsuru and Izanami and then they can add whatever else they want.

Just reveal Kokonoe already

I watched a YouTube of Rocket League eLeague event and it can definitely get way worse than what SFV is. Every big SFV commentator has way more personality and you can at least see the players.

I was at Evo 2016 and watched Evo 2017 and they were both way more exciting crowd and commentary wise than some of what I’ve seen elsewhere.

How to spot a SF3 player in SFV: Random button presses, If they jump you die no matter the angle, jab jab DASH into death, get hard knock down and Quad Dashes you into the corner into death, stands still then if you move you die

How to spot a SF4 player in SFV: Drop combos and set ups consistently, jumping during block strings, can magically make unsafe moves safe, wake up supers, sweeps a lot

How to spot a SFV player in SFV: No fundamentals, no combos, no mindgames, no oki, but once they pop VT their fundamentals, combos, mindgames, set ups go up to 9000

Y/N ?

to each their own i respect youre opinion, but ive had the best moments and excitements in my life from sf4 ive played every streetfighter game and my first tournament ive ever attended was from streetfighter 4, ive even made great friends through the game this game just meant a little more to me than sfv but its whatever

Well I have nothing but respect for SF4 and that period in our history. We wouldn’t be here without it, Esports wouldn’t be possible without even at this point. But I am glad it’s over.

Overall I would rate my Capcom SF/FG experiences as:

SF2 > CvS2 > Alpha = SFV > SF4 > SF3

I am not referring to the quality of the games here, only how much fun I had.

So now Flowtron says Sagat, Sakura, Blanka, Mayor, Bae, and President are for season 3.

Blanka was my main in SF4 so if it’s real… SHAMONE.

“Nice to see you. Bumblebee-tuna.”

I will drop 100% drop Karin for Sakura because there is no doubt in my fucking mind Capcom would make her a SF4 Evil Ryu Tier while giving her a even better jHP/crHP

Does anyone even know what happened with Chris Matrix?
He and Yipes were the reason I bought UMvC3 even though I knew I was going to be ass at it.

At least Yipes still commentates without eSports as an anchor on his neck in that local. (NLBC I think. Has been a while since I last watched it.)

She’s more likely than Izanami :frowning:

Hopefully the RWBY characters are cool.

His problem is he wants nothing to do with SFV or maybe even FGC anymore, yet people keep talking and mentioning him and keep begging for him to return.

If he deletes himself off social media or locks his account down - people are gonna make a fuss and start pinging everybody whom Mike knows, specifically Gootecks, for example
Therefore Mike can only either ignore the comments about him, which he clearly cannot anymore since he made that tweet about people disliking Cross Counter episodes that don’t have Mike in them, or straight up tell dudes to fuck off and stop bothering him

Update on my how to spot a player. Add SilentbutDudley1 to Super Plat SFV Ibuki player that likes to run head first into Ryu’s FIST!!! Then ragequits.

Also leave Mike Ross alone!!!
