He never left, he’s just onto newer (not better) but newer things, there’s not really much to say about it. I’m damn sure he turns on a fighting game every once in awhile each month, cause he sure as hell has time for Dota apparently, he plays Dota alot, and has 6.4K hours on it. I’m the same way, love fighting games, love talking about them, they just don’t hit me the same way anymore. (but will forever have the biggest impact on my life growing up)
Can confirm though, he’s been playing Guilty Gear on steam.
The fgc has many fighting games in rotation these days at a large level. Mortal kombat [kept it’s player base the entire time]

I doubt Mike is overly concerned about how his response to (what I interpreted as) a troll tweet, makes him look. Maybe the new influences in the FGC (e-sports, sponsors etc) made him behave too much in the other direction to the point where he felt like he could no longer be himself or enjoy himself, so now he’s getting back to that. IDK. I don’t think it will really hurt him that much though. People have done worse (like Charles Barkley) and are totally fine in their professional life even if some people hate them now. Some are even respected more just because they won’t alter themselves just to gain approval.
My theory on his silence is maybe he also feels if he truthfully explained why he left CC and whatnot that the explanation could involve throwing people under the bus and he doesn’t really want to do that. However, while it’s understandable to want to bow out quietly, that usually doesn’t work out so smoothly without an explanation once you’ve established a large following. Pretty much anyone who has done that has always had their fans constantly asking questions about it until either the explanation happens, or they’ve been gone long enough for most of the fans to actually forget about them.
What’s with all this Mike Ross talk? Seriously fuck that guy. I played Mike Ross once in tournament at CEO and all he did during the entire match was bitch and moan about Vega in SFIV. His commentary has always been trash trash too. Let that little pantywaist bitch play his DOTA or whatever the fuck he does with himself these days. Compare him to someone good like Tasty Steve. Yeah… See the difference?
