Weren’t the monsters in Rampage mutated humans though; a chick and two guys? That seems like a way more interesting premise than what they got going. They could have made Rock the Wolfman. Hollywood making an even shittier version of an already shitty premise. Plus this might be the beginning of the end of Rock as an A-list action star.
They’re not going to actually dig into the lore to please the few cult fans of Rampage. They’re just going to Hollywood it up just like how Ninja Turtles are aliens and shit.
SCV is pretty solid as far as mechanics go. Project Soul tried to remove the incredibly situational moves that, as you said, had no use outside of GI battles. I think they regulated GI to meter to not make it chaotic as it was in SC2 and SC4. I’d rather they make it so you can GI without meter but maybe add a 2-second cooldown after 3 GIs in short succession.
EDIT: In SCVI, I hope they do away with the committal movement (as well as the CH status while stepping) while keeping the radical vertical moves in check (Pyrrha’s BB was the best BB in SCV).
It wasn’t fair that PS had so little time to work on SCV (hence the multiple mimic characters and small cast). SCV wasn’t a bad game as it sold more copies than TTT2 at the time. People want another Soul Calibur game.
