SF4 did it right with the BP/PP points. You can tell you were playing a character specialist while estimating how good they were at keeping their overall points. I guess the character levels in SFV are sort of similar but all it does is tell the opponent “this guy plays XXX a lot” or “this guy left his controller on in casual for a few hours to make it to level 50”.
What’s so strange is capcom legit uses 3 different ranking systems for the 3 fighters they released the past 2 years.
SFV- character level and player rank
Marvel- Just a ranking level counting down from 14
USF2- BP/PP from SF4.

Anime? Only recent one I’ve seen outside of dbz is Inuyashiki. Pretty good with some fucked up scenes. Old man as the protagonist with the teen as the villain, a change of the norm.

I don’t like newer anime for the most part. Most of the animes are too clean and happy go lucky visually and the bishounen/kawaii levels are just too high for me now. Why I don’t like Blazblue or the newer GG.
This would be so nice. When Kolin first came out I played her a lot in casuals and battle lounges for a few weeks, then took her into ranked and hemorrhaged enough LP to drop to Super Bronze before running back to Laura like the wuss that I am. I’m really glad I picked her back up again though cause she’s a lot of fun, but I’m still not confident taking either her or Cammy into ranked so I’ve mostly been sticking with battle lounges.
Capcom doesn’t need to make a bulletin every week.

This game offers you free FM anyway so you can just grind the modes they add and get it that way.
MKX has the krypt for example, where you unlock stuff after fighting tons of matches.
So do all the dailies you can and do all the trials and challenges you can and you will unlock all the chars.
I recommend waiting till AE because capcom’s servers are not going to be stable enough for you to reliably do survival mode aren’t on easy or normal mode.

Sesshoumaru was bae. Sailor moon is good too, except for seasons 1/2 of crystal which is a shame since I liked the more mature looks they gave the inners.
I think the reason Sf5’s servers are less stable is that it is not just for the game, it is a huge automatic statistics database that saves all matches during the match in real-time as you are playing the fucking game.
