I don’t just believe, it’s fact. SFIV fans are frauds. Smash fans put together their own tournament scene with no support from Nintendo. They may be whiny bastards but they actually put up they money and time where their mouths are. SFIV fans want Capcom to support a game they no longer make money off of. That just isn’t realistic. If SFIV fans are as numerous as they claim to be, they should be able to put together tournaments. The game is readily available and you don’t need hardware that hasn’t manufactured in a dozen years for setups.

If you liked sf4 and you say anything other than Super sf4 was the best sf4

you are a sf4 fraud

Deja vu

SFIV fans don’t like to hear this stuff because it’s true. Nobody wants to play Street Fighter IV anymore.

Canada Cup put together a tournament that was suppose to “revive” competitive SFIV with a prize pool yet it barely got more entrants than SFII this year.

I missed Elena vs fuerte…thank goodness. I don’t think I can handle watching that. I hated fuerte. Also wish capcom could have a big circuit featuring all main titles.

Disagree.

Abi isn’t her worst matchup, but he’s annoying af.

I disagree, there’s tons more variables involved then just simply " throwing tournaments and reviving SF4 ", building a scene isn’t as simple as you think. It’s like imagine preferring MvC1 over MvC2 in the early 2000’s, then calling every MvC1 player a fraud cause they can’t get together and throw tournaments in an era where everyone prefers the new Marvel game, i’m sure they did throw tournaments, but you know damn well it’s not the same, and it never will be again. Especially when MvC2 cabs where fucking everywhere, might as well just play MvC2. Also, I doubt they want Capcom to support SF4 like you claim they do, maybe they do, but not to the extent you think, i’m sure they’re realistic in terms of how much they expect Capcom to support it, you’re just throwing it out of proportion and taking what they say to the fullest extent of the word support, when they probably just mean, show it a little more support, than none at all. Ive heard people say exhibitions and more stream time, and stuff like that, but never ever heard someone say " Wahh, Capcom give us 10K dollar price pots again for SF4! "

Basically they aren’t frauds, it’s just that when the flock moves onto something else, it’s just too hard to bring back old stuff sometimes, even if they tried. Melee was a legendary case though, released 16 fucking years ago and has a thriving season, that game deserves even more documentaries.

Man fuck you guys, what If I payed you to play SF4, and BROKE YOUR DAMN SFV DISC! FUCK YOU!4lerkl;fdk:3’;ermkglergnerm’ger

All I see is a lot of excuses Yorkey. I stand by what said. Smash fans kept Melee alive. There have been two Smash sequels since Melee, they are still playing it. I never said building a scene is simple. That said, if they were really passionate about the game they’d do it. With social media, it’s much easier to reach out to people and get them together. The thing is they have to want to put forth the effort. SFIV fans don’t. They want existing TOs to do all the work for them and even when they do, they don’t show up. They are frauds. Plain and simple. As @RAW_Guts said earlier, Lap Chi put up a bunch of cash and SFIV fans didn’t even show.

Come on over and break my SFV disc. See what happens.

You’ll just move onto KI or marvel. Only natural.

I already own both and I wouldn’t recommend anyone come into by place and break my stuff. I’ll just leave it at that.

Leave it at that huh, i’m intrigued, where did you say you lived again?

YorKeY, no!

You stop that.

That sounds like a challenge to me

I’ve taken injuries and wounds in my life that would kill lesser men so I am basically indestructible since I am pretty sure that’s how that works. So I ain’t got no fear!!!

so basically…

It is not easy but these sound like excuses. We are talking about Street FighterIV a game everybody owns and know of not some obscure anime fighter.

If it is because of a lack of Capcom support then why is Third Strike getting played as much as it does? It’s no secret the Japanese Third Strike scene is thriving and Cooperative Cup gets bigger every year.

Even in America there are scenes where SFIII is seeing more play. North Carolina which is an hour away from me in Virginia has a healthy Third Strike scene. Whenever I am in town can always find people playing SFIII it’s starting to overtake even SFV meanwhile they won’t touch SFIV.

The Fall Classic’s Third Strike tourney where they flew out the heavy hitters from Japan to come play out of passion this year had more turn out then the hyped up SFIV revival tournament at Canada Cup this year. TFC did not even have the luxury of being a CPT event like Canada Cup either.

People need to play their game if they really love it and nothing against SFIV as a game it had a fantastic run. I am just not seeing the passion and love for playing Street Fighter IV as a game anymore in a competitive setting just a bunch of hot-air from stream monsters living in the past. That’s just me being honest.

I disagree how much I want, I’m not a like-picker at all. Abigail damage is retarded like his hurtboxes. If being able to pulverize someone’s health bar in a wink it’s good, then Rog,Ibuki and Laura deserve to stay like they are now and I’m not ok with that.

Abi got no tap, abi got no bombs or left right mixups, abi don’t got laura st.mk, or oppressive projectile, or crazy command dash garbage

all abi got is walk forward hit buttons

LET THE MAN LIVE HIS LIFE

Capcom removed the ‘fun’ from S1 TT characters, next are the S2 overlords. No fun allowed.
