One day they will release a game where zero is mid tier and the world will explode. Some characters just don’t know the struggle.
Zero like Akuma is just one of those characters that’s destined to always be high tier because the characters are just built around having everything at the cost of health.
Zero is this robot dude that’s like Megaman, but has a sword, but he still has a buster so he’s going to need gdlk normals cuz sword and decent ranged game cuz buster and then he has a sogenmu/soul body type move to recreate himself so that’ll augment his swords and buster and…
Yeah that’s just always a recipe for top tier at this point. Akuma needs everything so he needs low health. Long as you have defense and awareness it’s hard for that to pan out to anything but high tier. The character pretty much has to be strong to be viable.

Honestly, Karin’s X-mas outfit is phenomenal. I normally hate on most of Capcom’s outfits but that one is pretty rad.
Only thing i feel is somewhat cheap about Akuma is air fireball and dive kick vs normal anti air characters.
The rest is strong with the damage output and mix up potential, but he kinda gets started for free against those types.
