The Street Fighter V Lounge: Kolin is COLD HEARTEEEEEEEEED!

I got to Diamond official after getting rage quitted on by randoms and prominent players. If you’re where you are after taking most likely 10 percent or more of your total matches in quits, you probably deserve to be there in some form.

The people who climb after a potential rank reset won’t know what its like to get close to ranking up, then some douche denies you your rank up and you lose the next 2 outta 3 and grind for the next hour again.

Only reason I got to plat is so I get plats and up to join my battle lounge lobby
And also so that I don’t get kicked from plat and up lobbies as well

When I was gold and joined plat or diamond lobbies I would always get kicked

That right there is why I pretty much hardly touch ranked anymore.
When shit like that happens, then I get frustrated, and then I play with my brain turned off. And when that happens I get so thirsty for a runback that I forget to play defensively and keep losing, making things worse. Basically all the point system does for me is make it all the more aggravating to take a loss.

I did have an idea though, what about instead of points, ranked goes by your average winrate of your completed(disconnects won’t count) as well as how many matches you’ve completed online over your career, and that’s what shows at the versus screen? Could that be a more honest system?

Only reason I went to plat is to get plat and higher only people in casual. I did not go to diamond because it takes long enough getting matches at plat.

I think they should give you the chance to look for opponents of any rank at least in casual if you like. If you’re lower rank and you want to fight plats and diamonds why not if they agree with that. That will give lower ranks more chances to learn stuff and higher ranks a way to get some more matches when there’s really nobody else around.

I’ll bet you’re one of those Ultra Gold lemmings, cowards who straddle the cliff’s edge, frozen in their own mediocrity, too afraid to leap t’ward the sky and reach for greatness.

My thoughts on dealing with ranked: (-_-) <- link!

Well if anyone wants to play a shitty S2 Bison they can send me an invite at Zeniside. I want to get some matches in before I go out for the rest of the day.

i really don’t like bitching and moaning at all and usually just suck it up and deal with it, but the rollback and servers and the connection and whatever are fucking horrible, 4 ranked games in a row have disconnected and every fucking match since season 2 started have had ridiculous lag. If i have more fun with tekken i’m putting street fighter on the back burner

Just get tired of Ranked because I don’t want to chase people 24/7, this happen too often and I don’t learn nothing about a MU with that. So 'til Capcom give to Karin a pair of Nike’s I keep hitting lounges and casuals.

The lag has gotten worse in season 2 that’s for sure. My connect is already suspect because my computer isn’t a toaster and I get all the lag from the shitty PC and PS4 opponents.

It’s definitely not something that I like. Fucking mike z had this problem with skullgirls as well and fixed it after like 6 months. Capcom seem to not even know that it’s a problem. They can’t even fix basic UI stuff. Much less one sided lag.

Getting exposed sure is fun

I get pretty decent matches at diamond, it’s not even about the rank anymore.

It is about frequency of matches. I already do not like the 2-5 minutes between matches at plat.

2-5 mins is totally fine actually, maybe that’s cause I played PS2 online, and didnt get spoiled by fast que times like you kids and your little CoD games with 600K players, and 20 second que times. Play piano, guitar, draw abit, chat, watch your other monitor, or do training mode when waiting for a match, chh.

Not for me. I want matches every 10-30 seconds at most. I still had quicker match times on PC SF4 than I do in SF5.

Edit, nevermind, won’t rant about it.

Yup, PC SF4 had a good player base contrary to what console players thought.

I prefer to have a few minutes in between matches since it means I actually get stuff done in training mode.

That said waiting 5 minutes for a lagfest is an awful feeling.
