Everyone and their grandmother wants to play OW THE EDGE Ryu ugh.
This game feels fucking stiff after season 2 I swear. Cammy’s B.MP feels fucking weird as shit.
Also what’s the fucking point of Cammy’s VR? I’m used to it knocking down and now that it doesn’t it feel disjointed. Is the idea supposed to be that she gets a free shimmy or what?
yeah, sorry. should have stated on block.
exactly that even tho it was ex grab.
so he can use all his grabs afterward on block distance wise?!
i gues backwalk will not bring me out of this situation…i thought he is ass now and look what he got
I’m interested if it still goes through even if the opponent jumps. If you get hit with h chop and jump and the grab doesn’t happen he can knee you, but if you jump and the grab wiffs it’s your punish. Time 2 lab I guess
yeah but you might eat a crushcounter…instead.
can you 3f jab him out of his options…i guess it depends on how far your poke reach?!
or is his frame advantage so high that it beats it.
That’s the point of the discovery. It looks like there are a few frames where he can cancel the M Chop into Power Drop after the blockstun is over. This allows him to be at least +2 (instead of -4) and beat 3 framers with his 5f Power Drop.
And of course you may always eat a CC if you backdash.
^This, it’s still too early to judge and go full theory fighting. Sure thing some characters get way better than others, but maybe we haven’t discovered everything then we still need to adapt at those new meta changes and new characters. Akuma is Akuma after all,he shows already an incredible firepower, then the new ones coming next year will be probably cheap af to impress the SFV playerbase.
Played like 15-20 games with Akuma last night. Fireball knocking down at footsie range is amazing. Also good luck anti airing him if you have to use normals.
Yup, just did a ft5 with Gief… getting lariat to constantly AA his jump in shenanigans was a pain… started holding back with lariat to mistime his shit.
You’re basically forced to judge early with the DLC method though as there’s always something coming. You just revise later down the line.
I think people are on to a good hunch. The thing is the amount of people who are sleeping on characters with supposed nerfs, who may end up coming out strong again due to the general changes and changes with the meta. Be fun to see.
I agree with this in general but Nash definitely got whacked. His anti air game is bad now and he has no reversal. I have a funny feeling some unknown will start doing well with Fang or Zangief.
Good, let Sim have some matchups where he truly dominates for once. He had to deal with like 5 ‘worst matchups in the game’ throughout SFIV’s life and he had more than one 7-3 matchup in SF5 season 1. People always complain when Sim has one or two dominant matches vs a grappler but don’t say shit when he has a ton of bad ones to deal with himself.
