Naw dog, it’s a mediocre, cliche, expected, very telegraphed, easy to read, saw it coming a mile away, pathetic, close-minded, simpleton, addle brained, response.
Naw, it’s herd-mentality, do what’s expected, latch onto a meme, safe, average, unoriginal, nonsensical, foolish, corrupt, decadent, going with the flow, row-row-row your boat, drivel.
That doesn’t really prove anything other than who can beat who in that matchup. There are over 20 matchups. Winning the mirror does not determine who is better with their character, just who wins the mirror and that’s not even factoring in player vs player mindset. It very possible for there to be 3 Mika mains where player A beats player B, B beats C… and C beats A consistently. All that matters though is that Du’s recent strategy and skill set has pulled through to take the past few high profile tournaments and made him some serious bank. Other players are gonna have to step it up if they want to take that spot.
Wow the weeb is strong in some of you if you can’t accept that DU is the best SFV player and has been for months. He has been by far the most consistent.
The amount of excuses and mental gymnastics being performed right now is pathetic. US #1 hold that Asia.
I agree completely. Especially after watching people never give Daigo’s opponents credit when they beat him. And make any number of excuses for him.
In the West, Ingrid is not well liked character. She only is popular in Japan. The only reason her addition is a possibility is because of Ono’s love for the character. A love not shared by the bulk of the community.
If thats directed towards me, thats a pretty sweet straw man.
However there have been instances of capable tournament winners not attending tournaments. Then showing up out of nowhere and placing.
Similarly there are well known examples of players that tournament winners and consistent placers, hold in regard as the best or most skilled, but those players dont win.
Im starting to think the biggest buff she got isnt her new stmk but the fact that they shoved a frame off her forward dash. Not for the dash itself ofc,but because she is now +4 after LP raida knockdown>forward dash, making crlp and crlk true meaties.
For reference her crlp becomes +3 on block, making crlp>stlp a true string, stmp will blow up reversal meterless dp after crlp cause its a 2f gap so stmp goes active before the dp invincibility kicks in and its +4 on hit so you can link stlk after. +6 on counter hit means she even gets crmp/stmk link after it lmao
As far As true meaty crlk goes, her biggest oki problem after LP raida in s1 was that, apart from 7 characters iirc, she had to walk forward a bit to throw or threaten with a low, making walking back a bitch to deal with especially against characters like claw. Now after meaty crlk she is +4 on hit so she gets stlk link after, meaning you actually have to crouch block. Couple that with the fact that you cant backroll that shit and her oki got waaaay scarier by SFV Standards. Probably why they nerfed her walkback speed/shimmy tbh
But whatever people are still gonna be talking about braindead akuma anyway lol
As someone who appreciates purely fundamental play in sf4 she was just straight up the most fun character. Win by spacing and buttons not dive kicks gimmicks and coinflips.
