When’s the next SFV tournament with a decent amount of high profile player representation? I want to see how people are working with the changes so far in a tournament environment. I missed the one posted a couple of days ago.

Honestly, as stupid retarded good as Necalli was in Season 1 he wasn’t popular online back then neither. I used to always say “Necalli is fuckin stupid good, why don’t many people pick him?” On top of all of that he is easy to use so it just baffles my mind.

Plus you kinda have to zone with vskill and st.hk. most ppl don’t wanna do that cuz you have to spend 10 minutes in training mode and figure that out.

The most popular characters by a landslide were Ryu and Ken. Ryu in the gold range and Ken rules platinum. I am certain the character i have faced the most after them was Necalli.
I have been traveling but in middle east and EU Necalli is played a lot.

It is not that. People love Ryu and Ken.
The main reason is that Necalli is easily one of the most boring character to play that i have ever experienced. He is probably my least played character in the game because of this, i don’t even understand how people can have fun with this character.
Unless you liked winning. Nothing Flashy, nothing challenging, no tech. I mean Ken have some cool looking stuff, Ryu has a parry, Chun had some fun execution combos and air legs, Karin have the tenko and some cool combos with meter.
Necalli is just vanilla as hell. He is so vanilla that his V-trigger is the only one in the game that doesn’t require and sorts of mico-management. There is no decision making with that thing. I don’t know, am sure people who use him do so for a reason.
