Toolassisted does it all the time. You’ll see people beat him and they get their points, but toolassisted never lost his winstreak or points when you see him play again.

If you play the right characters it’s still pretty footsies/mid range based. I like that there’s just less things like focus, backdash and sitting on ultra stocks that get in the way of the neutral game.

What do you think about Dhalsim and FANG and how they approach neutral?

It’s only until they implement a solution. I’m all for retroactive punishment.

I’ve not played a fang player yet. Dhalsim is obviously one of the more complete characters, since his defense is naturally good (because it’s easier to defend in this game also as a whole) and his attack is pretty much bullet proof.

You mean how they are asking us to do all the legwork for them and give them video proof because they are too dumb or for whatever reason can’t figure it out in the code for the game?

Another one of the billions of things that MKX had that Capcom doesn’t have - quitality. Clearly it’s possible to see who quits and who doesn’t, since they did it in MKX. It’s such an easy thing for them to do.

I’m still wondering how truly EASY it is, because season 1 of KI was filled with innocent people going to jail. I guess MKX netcode team just had the better knowledge on that front. Just can’t really say they’re perfect either when they gave us input delay netcode for launch and said it would be great.

They’re already fixing it IN THE GAME. But, while they’re fixing it (because updating games is not instantaneous), they want to do something to mitigate the rage quitting NOW.

I thought this was obvious from the post.

They also told us that rollback netcode was not possible with 3d models. Then sfxt came out.

They also told us that spectator mode in MVc3 was not possible because of too many characters on screen. Then UMvC3 came out.

They also told us the retail version of SF5 would be drastically different than the beta. Then we all paid ~$60 for beta 5.

I don’t really care what Capcom says. I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m not saying it’s not possible, but I don’t put any value into their words.

Well, no more rank for awhile. The combination of ragequitters, laggers, and losing 100 pts is too much bullshit atm.

It is easy. It’s been explained many times how to implement it algorithm wise. And if you think NRS netcode team has better knowledge about anything lol, you must have never played an NRS game.

There are just SO many things in SF5 that make you scratch your head as to why they didn’t implement it, and this is just another one to add to the list.

Either way at least Capcom has an outline of what they know they need to add or fix. Which isn’t too different from Killer Instinct’s approach. People complained about how much stuff wasn’t there in KI, but eventually things start getting added and fixed. Luckily with Capcom/Sony money the things people want should come faster than the eons we had to wait with KI.

For a game built for online, it sure is missing a bunch of obvious online things.

Whether you believe it or not, Capcom is going to address rage quitting in game.

NRS said they had big plans for the PC version of MKX

Or how about saving your fight request settings in between loading the game up?

Or how about when I go back to battle lounge searching, it keeps my parameters I just searched with?

Or how about when I am on the list of battle lounges, and I click “refresh”, it still shows the same results of lobbies that no longer exist or are full?

Just so many things that are fucked up/overlooked and ssssssoooooo easy to implement.

And just for the record, with me calling out all this crap, I still am loving this game online. Once you get into a match it’s buttery smooth for the most part and I love the gameplay.

I’m waiting for more of you to say this so that I can further validate not going on ranked. I’m changing providers today, so if even after that the online is still bad, I’m putting this shit on capcom. I wanna get to silver so that I’ll stop being booted from the fucking battle lounges :frowning:
