I just feel it’s much easier to justify having a complete game and giving less fighters while promising 6 free characters throughout the year, than having what we have now with a review mess and terrible sales.
Just hope the game speaks for itself and can prove itself throughout this mess of a launch.

Mine too but exclusively on fight request in training mode. If I wait on ranked or casual, it’s usually 4-6 minutes wait. On fight request it’s about every other minute. For battle lounge I’ll still have to try and joing maybe 20 rooms before I connect to one, and even then I get the 40002 error often. It’s only been smooth playing with friends on invite.
On Snake Eyes stream he’s getting matched pretty quickly off picking Ranked.
Why hope?
It’s the only next gen Street Fighter game out there. It has no other self competing Capcom fighter to work with/against. Slow start, but it will inevitably be the most active fighting game as far as player base in a year. To think otherwise would be not understanding SF as a culture.
Street Fighter V will prove that eSports games don’t have to follow the status quo of being accepted by review gods.
Ever since yesterday I’ve been getting matches just fine here. All matches load up too, haven’t gotten an error before match starts.
Btw I have a bunch of questions about the “eSports” part and CPT. Can players compete in any of the regions as long as you fly there or is it restricted like WCS (Blizzard’s circuit for Starcraft)? How are they going to handle the online tournaments (ie: Mexico vs Argentina)? Do online rankings account for anything at all? Which country is going to host the regional finals?
Since the road to CPT is starting this weekend are these rules set already?
You can compete in any region you want, your score will count towards your “global” total and not that regional I believe. No info on online tournaments but online rankings don’t mean a thing. They haven’t posted which country will host what regional yet either.
Guess they finally realised they can’t keep tickering with the servers anymore and now need to straight up fix the game itself

If it is it doesn’t work atm. I remember in one of the betas it actually did work, and it showed your throw tech percentage and a bunch of other shit but it looks like its still not working atm.
Game runs great for me on PC, and I find matches and play them perfectly, can’t wait till the next patch comes, gonna be beautiful. (Or, Or, knowing Capcom’s track record, might make things worse than ever, but I want to stay positive) Keepo

Welp sharing my CFN account with my friend, wish there was a way to make separate accounts so that not many points were lost… man I really feel like I should just go to battle lounge instead of ranked… I haven’t tried it more than once but even though the one match I got was laggy I just feel like it will be better in the long run.
I just want to not care that much about points in general for once like I did with SF4, it’s just not an important thing but I have this urge to get them, I really have to stop caring so much about this lol.
