WHen the connection is great rollback is perfectly fine but it is a nightmare if there is any issues in the connection. I had one where on my screen it showed Chun jumped only to have it teleport her back to the ground with a kikkoken shooting from her hands. Or a Karin where a simple shimmy turns into mini v-trigger bison dashes.

does the new prima guide thingy list what moves are hard knockdown? if not, is there a list somewhere? i keep getting thrown off guard because i’m waiting for my character to quick rise and they don’t. i was putting it down to my execution but then i realised it wasn’t that at all.

what are the rules about quick rise? sorry i didn’t pay more attention to this earlier. it seems like you can’t do them if you were airborne before the the attack hits you. you can quick rise throws but you can’t back roll (one animation). outside of those and hard knockdowns, is there anything else?

there seems to be a lot more hard knockdown moves than there was in beta 2, or am i just imagining this?

You can quickrise everything other than a select few moves like Mika’s EX Brimstone. You can only quick rise throws, no back rolls. All crush counter sweeps are hard knockdowns.

I dont care that much. Sure he got some points or whatever but I win way more than I lose. I’ll still hit gold today or tomorrow depending on how much I play. Luckily Japan and China don’t rage quit hardly ever. I beat the #1 Nash and he took that L like a G. I do the same regardless.

gilley’s frame data has knockdown times.

Also worth noting is that you can’t back techroll command grabs (SPD, Brimstone, etc.) or hitgrabs (Tragedy Assault).

Just lost to a Zangief who didn’t jump once the entire match and remembered I’m terrible at this genre and I’ve wasted my life. I have a lot of time to reflect on that when it takes 5-10 minutes to find a match too.

[edit] just lost to a laughably bad Nash who lost every time he tried to anything other than sonic boom, or random guess special, but was able to fall back on sonic boom and random guess special. I’m not exaggerating in the slightest when I say I can win against legitimately decent players, but will lose every time to textbook scrubby shoto play.
