I’m watching this replay of Daigo playing with other top players and I noticed one thing that hasn’t been a thing the entire time we’ve been playing here: playing with voice chat on. Instead of giving each other immediate feedback on things, people play and then wait for posts.
Maybe it should be both. Instead of waiting to come back to write something out, we should be talking in real time and then reemphasizing things in posts. Probably the thing to do next time I play PlusFrames or Spinnerism.
We’ve started doing that in Norway too. Not just voicechatting with the guy we’re playing with, but doing discord streams with other people spectating and being in voicechat. Very easy way to give feedback.
I don’t have a PS4 headset but I do have a bluetooth one for my cellphone. You can use discord for it. Just set up some hohum discord server that’s only active when running sets for voice stuff and the muted the rest of the time.
You could potentially do a bunch of separate voice channels and just leave it for that. Wouldn’t interfere with the posting here, it’d just be a glorified voice service.
Streaming could be good too. Especially on PC lounges. It’s pretty easy on PC.
Your rig may not be up to the task, but if the lounges start being more of a regular thing, I can do it.
So there’s a random Norwegian grudgematch happening tonight, because one of the Bryan players called our resident Ling player, one of our best tournament players result-wise, a gimmicky scrub.
