Lifeline is outright the worst character in the game now after Mirage got his buff. She’s only useful for her Rez shield but now Mirage and Gibby have better Rez abilities. Her Ult is worthless (and Loba has basically a better version of it).
As for BH having less utility, yeah I won’t deny that. His scan has better utility than before though, as now he gets both the useful “scan in the middle of the fight” and “scout scan”. Yeah they’ll know where your’e coming from but generally that’s fine and you can use it to your advantage. But yeah he isn’t matching Wraith, because no one is unless they hatchet the fuck out of her like they did Path.
But yeah so far I’ve only been on BH. I’ll probably try out Caustic and Mirage myself until I get enough points for Loba. Also I’ve been on an odd shotgun kick lately. Both my wins were with a Shotty secondary (Mastiff, EVA-8). Also damn the bleed outs are SUPER fast now.
Yeah I noticed the bleed out thing watching a clip. Not sure why that was changed.
I use Lifeline for her fast heals more than anything else. She doesn’t have a mobility tool but playing her makes the game feel much faster since I can heal without waiting a year to pull out my gun again. She’s not good right now but honestly they could remove everything but fast heal and I’d still use her.
I haven’t had a chance to play yet so I can’t speak on the Mastiff. PK to care package was a good way to change things up though. But fuck the EVA tho I hate that gun. Rather use hammer point Moz than an EVA.
Yeah I’m still not a fan of the EVA but for whatever reason it was stroking for me that game.
The new Mastiff is…weird. It’s demonic early but late it’s finicky to use. Like there’s times you use it and it feels like Care Package Mastiff and other times it just sucks. Need to test it a lot more.
Alright you maggots, 31 years ago TODAY, one of the very first death metal bands EVER, Morbid Angel, released their first album Altars of Madness, and the world of metal forever changed!! They are one of the most influential bands in the genre, and were important in the transition of death metal from its thrash metal roots (think Metallica, Megadeth). Morbid Angel were one of the first bands to incorporate guttural vocals, multiple tempo changes and dark atmosphere.
Back to the album, Music journalist Jason Birchmeier writes that:
Few albums struck a chord within the ears and minds of the late-'80s underground metal scene like Morbid Angel’s Altars of Madness did at the end of the decade, setting a new precedent for metal bands to reach. With the arguable exception of Chuck Schuldiner’s Death, never before had a heavy metal band carried their lightning-fast guitar riffs and equally spellbinding guitar solos into such horrific territory. Venom and Slayer redefined the extent to which a metal band could align itself with all things evil during the beginning of the decade, but Morbid Angel made these two groups sound like children’s music compared to the Florida-based group’s assaulting death metal sounds and their blasphemous lyrics.
1:16 had I continued my guitar lessons I would be playing this. Maybe play some covers with the peeps that I know are music players here @PlusFrames@bisonator@abbachio
While the members were very talented, the drummer Pete Sandoval deserves special mention. He’s considered the god father of the up-tempo blast beat (a drum beat that originated in hardcore punk and grindcore, and is often associated with certain styles of extreme metal; maniacal percussive explosions, less about rhythm per se than sheer sonic violence). As shown in this drum check
Dicking around with the stick is interesting. DP’s on both sides are much easier to do but qcf feels off. I’m getting used to it but I swear it felt like I wants this shit to be more precise. I’m gonna have to practice everyday just doing basic shit. I haven’t played SFV in like 6 months and I’m doing it with a new weapon. Dashing is also cleaner. But I need to practice her VT2 shit on this.
If the internet has taught as anything, is that there are also a lot of women into all the corny fanservice stuff. But here’s how dumb it is. When Skullgirls first came out, it got a bunch of hate over being sexist. So much so that the voice actors had to come out defend it and all that:
“Our lead animator is a woman,” Bartholow told Eurogamer. "She intentionally lavishes attention on the breasts herself because she thinks it’s cool. All the people who seem bothered by it are guys. It’s a weird chivalry intent thing that’s sort of misplaced and maybe shallow, even, because they see breasts and panty flashes and they go, that’s sexist, but I’ve yet to meet a woman who has complained about it. They’re over-thinking it.
I found all the panty shots in skullgirls to be dumb as hell, but I bought it multiple times to support. Skullgirls characters look the way they do because the artists liked it and the audience loves it. I had to hear about how one of the characters has a particular striped underwear that’s supposed to be a thing for weebs.
But SamSho has to pretend that Iroha isn’t what it is, that none of this fanservice nonsense isn’t something other than fanservice nonsense because treating it as such made some people feel bad…about spending money on fanservice. The comment was inappropriate? Then the character is inappropriate. The character was design to elicit the types of responses it did. All the account did was play along with the very obvious intentions of the company.
People aren’t mad that there’s some nonsense half naked character in the game. They’re mad because the twitter guy made was honest about why they put in a half naked character in the game.
“Our characters are strong, powerful women who happen to be attractive. We don’t have anyone like Cammy [from Street Fighter], who wraps her legs around your head and then beats you senseless with her Kegel muscles - or whatever is going on in that Cammy Super. There was a very conscious decision not to do things like that. None of the characters use their sexuality in any aggressive way. It’s just a thing they happen to be.”
He fucked up there, though. Cammy is not using that move to “use her sexuality.” It’s a legit move. Usually done on bigger opponents
Besides, I kinda wanna actually take a look at Ken and Makoto’s moves before jumping in again, all I knew today was stuff from V or things I’ve heard about here.
