I don’t know, probably. Just felt a bit different.
Yeah. It took me 2 games, but I realized that you mash LP on the second wake-up of the round, and you mash LP on the last hit of the round too. All I had to do was meaty that and use DP as a counterpoke. You like the divekick > LP > tick throw option, so I started Kara throwing first and started winning those. Also there was a bit of disrespect on Ken’s Cr.MP which I capitalised on. Ken benefits more from the trade than Yun so it worked out in the end.
I just got 30th on PC and man it feels like an entirely different game to the Switch version. I mean I play on RedGGPO and FightCade and this is different to that too. I’m not sure if I prefer it, but it’s definitely an experience.
Stop anti-airing then, dummy. Don’t you know we’re not playing a fighting game anymore?
What was going on with you throwing me after getting divekicked balls deep while crouching?
There’s goofy shit in this game and that was one of those.
Yun has a 3fr jab if I remember correctly. Throw is 3fr too. However, if you hit jab after hitting me low, it’ll beat throw. The thing is you can’t really do anything with jab unless you have meter for Genei Jin, so I used the times where you didn’t have meter to throw. If I lost, no biggie. I eat a TC and that’s it. My throw would have beaten any other button, and then it’s in my favour. See the play I was making? The risk/reward was in my favour, and it ended working more than half the time.
Great to hear that.
Btw, what are your specs? Iirc you said you can’t run SFV. Asking because @PlusFrames was worried he can’t run 30th.
The fuck is this shit? I’ve probably played Pertho in 200 games and didn’t notice one of these things.
I know I’m still learning how to do stuff so my concentration is elsewhere, but like, wtf? Lol
Haha
This stuff came to me naturally when learning FGs. I competed professionally at the age of 10-14 in 4 different shooters, so analysing gameplay is the only thing I’m good at. It was drilled into me years ago.
Most good schools should teach that kind of thing at a base level. I do now.
Thing is after 20+ years of doing this stuff i realized i wrongly assumed other people MUST already know the super basics. I’ll teach people the fun crazy shit was my way at first.
Unfortunately BJJ has evolved from an art that was developed to beat other martial arts to an art where the techniques have been evolved to beat other BJJ players.
Firas Zahabis method is correct. Does it work in BJJ, MMA and the street? If it does its valid.
Yeah, not much sense in knowing 20 gogoplata escapes when you’re getting your head caved in.
I agree wholeheartedly with you, I never liked the techniques that are only useful in BJJ competition so I never bothered with stuff like the 50/50 guard, the berimbolo, etc.
That said, even competition BJJ is much more effective than most traditional arts.
Lol my 50/50 game is legit.
I trained at a Panrase school for years so i still have a wicked heel hook.
I fully agree with the berimbolo and most non defensive inversions.
Divekick hitstun is low even when it hits deep. Got it.
Divekick hitstun is always constant. It’s up to you whether you want to combo or reset, and I’m the one that has to OS.
I didn’t say Gibby was bad, just that the nerf to the Bubble Shield matters greatly.
And yes, BH alerts the enemy to the scan but considering his scan is so damn large now that’s irrelevant. Before it made his Q terrible because more often than not the opponent would know your position better than you did. Now you can use it in pretty much every scenario and due to the large range you get far more information, on top of the opponent no longer having info on you. It’s ridiculous that “He’s only good at finding people” is considered bad to you. The only thing more important than that is mobility.
As for Caustic, yes they broke him but I’m fine with that easily. Would rather have a broken Caustic than the lower-mid one we’ve been having.
I dont even play 3S really but little nuggets of info like this i store for when i do.
You should play me sometime! It’s always fun to get in some games with FG vets and hear what they have to say.
I’m in Australia mate. It would be an exercise in futility.
I get to play with Dime often and Highland from here every now and then.
Whats missing is that moment (which kind of just happened funnily enough) where someone can just make an off the cuff remark that to them is common knowledge but to the other person can change their whole perspective on an interaction.
@vhozite @saitsu how y’all gonna leave out that they reworked mirage?
Overall I’m happy with most of the changes for season 5. And yes all Pathfinder mains are probably on suicide watch. And they nerfed Gibby so maybe vhoz will put some respect on his name lol. I feel bad for lifeline between Gibby and his dome and fast heal and lobas loot gathering being way better than lifelines silly little extra drawers in the blue bin what’s the point of ever picking her?
I know what you mean. But trust me, coming from DBFZ and anime netcode, I can take bad games in the chin. But whatever suits you suits me too.
My execution and neutral is pretty ass, but I have libraries worth of knowledge of the games I play regularly, which at this point is just 3S. I’m still learning; this game is very deep. I’m happy to help (and also receive help. I am not joking. This is a cry for help. Someone, please make me good at this game).
