Yeah, those.
I mean, they have projectile hitboxes and kinda are used as lesser projectiles?

I think he meant the ferret.
As for why Fang is runing whatever, i would also like to know.
How can a low tier char with terrible projectiles can be ruining the game?,
Is it just me, or is punishing really tough in 3S? I can’t seem to punish a -11 attack with a 2 frame super anywhere near reliably at all… and that’s in training when I know it’s coming.
Pertho’s gonna 49-1 to me tonight, lol, and he’ll be kicking this Chun kid’s ass half the time
Ohhhhhh, I just remembered!
Perth0-2 lost to FANG on stream! Yo, @darc_requiem do you remember who he was using? I think it was Cammy?
Since SF2 you have a lot moves that go through projectiles. Its kind one of the things you learn about moving around in SF5. the 2 hit nonsense stuffs a lot of those moves. That’s only happening because they needed FANG to be a special snowflake type of character.
Birdie’s can is also kind of on its own thing for the sake of it being good. Its a projectile that you can’t interact with. if it was a physical thing like Rolento’s and Ibuki’s daggers, you could at least smack them away with normals. Instead he gets to throw a projectile that nobody can do anything about for the sake of him being able to do that.
Mind you, this also means that Zeku’s weasel is kinda dumb shit too because its on the same thing. But SF5 is full of random weird nonsense. Its why Momochi said it was harder to learn multiple characters in this game than SF4. All characters are doing some Blazblue stuff.
Punishing is weird in 3S because moves can be very minus but pushback makes them safe. Online doesn’t help. Also PLEASE PING ME so I can watch these games.
It’s on 30th PS4. Not sure how you’d watch it, but you can simulate it with picking Yun as P1, and Ken as P2 and go into training. Set dummy’s guard to Off.
Aw…
Breh, boot up BBCF. Shit’ll have your head spinning. Nothing in SFV comes remotely close to the stuff the Murakumos can chuck at you.
That’s what’s truly fucked up about Birdie’s can tbh. You can’t kick the can down the road but you can kick Abi’s Tire?
This game is hilariously silly about which chars get straight up better tools than others.
Not sure if I shared this earlier, but I got inspired and am working on a concept that I wanted to show off. Care to check?
Feel free to fuck off anytime.
Everybody is doing blazblue stuff because everybody has goofy subsystems.
It’s not a given that in the future, more untraditional projectiles would be un-interactable. I hate can for the same reason; Birdie basically establishes a huge neutral presence for free and you can’t do anything about it. I don’t want anything like that at all.
I’m confused what kind of anti projectile tools lose to FANG’s double fireball though? If a move’s property is projectile invincibility, the number of hits shouldn’t matter right? I know Rashid’s ex dive kick goes through both hits, and Menat’s vskill 1 reflects both too.
I just want FANG’s poison wall on a character who’s gameplan isn’t aggressively frametrapping you dammit
I do remember watching a vid comparing stuff in SFV that was inspired by BB, the V-Skills being the most obvious, even though they’re really generic shit instead of something unique like Drives.
Let me see if I can find it.
Edit: Gottem.
Like you say true projectile invul is fine.
Stuff like Hondas ex headbut get fucking stompt by double/ex projectiles though. The FANG mu is really rough for Honda actually.
I’ve never played SF2 so bear with me, but how does fang having a two-hit projectile affect a move that’s projectile invincible? What you’re talking about sounds similar to armor moves but like I said I’ve never played that game so I probably just don’t understand.
Regarding Birdies can, honestly it’s definitely hard to deal with once it’s out but it also has 1000f startup? It’s obnoxious but not “this should never be in another game” tier. My bigger issue with can is that i feel like a space control tool that strong is out of place on him. He already has amazing buttons, two(?) armor moves, EX Free Willy, and a VT that super boosts his walk speed.
But that’s an intended weakness in EX Headbutt’s design.
It makes perfect sense.
Ohhh I see what you mean! That isn’t an issue exclusive to FANG though; as you mentioned, ex projectiles. I see why it would be more pertinent on a character who can do that meterless though! Also I don’t like armored, forward-traveling ex moves so I personally count that interaction as a good thing
For sure. But one of its main uses is as an anti projectile move and the question was were there any that get blown up by double poison.
Not saying it shouldn’t.
